That website always crashes on my phone and laptop so if someone is able to copy and paste that would be much appreciated
In early august, Ohio HS FB tmb calls out poster who claims to work for company that organized the game between IMG and BS. They tell him that BS is a fake school using post grad kids. starts off as them thinking the organizer had no idea BS is a scam to them realizing he’s in on the scam and making money off it. organizer claims to have seen BS’s luxurious facility and 100+ player roster.
I had a black walnut tree in my last house’s back yard and loved the shade and hated those fucking stupid nuts
In middle school football we had weight limits. You couldn't play at in your age bracket you were too big, and couldn't advance the ball if you weighed over whatever amount, so you got a green stripe on your helmet (dumb, I know). But then we'd play "bowl games" where there wasn't a weight limit for some reason. And local teams would play their 14-15 years olds against us 12-13 years olds, to try and establish a fear of playing them in high school. So we'd get our asses kicked. Not sure why my dumbass coach (former NFL kicker Fuad Reveiz) agreed to do that 3-4 times a year when were objectively shit. Nick Reveiz, who'd go on to play linebacker at UT would give an impassioned speech when we down 45-3 at halftime about digging deep.
A local HS's opponent had to cancel due to Covid so they rescheduled another opponent for tomorrow night called Beacon Hill (Richmond, VA). A quick google leads me to Beacon Hill Homeschool and the first result is an ass whooping loss from some team in Oklahoma 66-0. Is this another Bishop Sycamore? Nandor the Relentless
I only lived in Richmond for 2.5 years so know pretty much nothing about high schools there. Let me see what my friends know.
66-0 (L) BHHS @ Choctaw On 8/27, the Beacon Hill HomeSchool varsity football team lost their away non-conference game against Choctaw (OK) by a score of 66-0.
There is a really easy way to solve this problem. I can guarantee this will eliminate the chance of playing a “fake school” 99.9% of the time. Only play schools from your own state, unless your metro area shares a state line suck as KCK & KCMO. Why the fuck does a high school team need to travel to another state to play a football game unless it is for the ego of adults (or a metro area sharing states)? This shit is beyond stupid.
Some state playoff systems are pretty jacked up and it's more beneficial for teams to not schedule bigger schools which then forces them to either not fill out their schedules or look out of state to fill it
So you are saying the adults decide they would rather play out of state schools they can beat rather than risk missing the playoffs? The reason for high school is education. Extra-curricular is just that, extra. Actual taent from bad teams can easily make it to the next level and prove themselves. There is no need, like ever, to travel half way across the country, or even a couple states over to play high school football unless it is for the fragile egos of the adults that are involved in high school football. A state championship in football, or even a playoff run, does not equate to a better education for 99.9% of high school students. I pulled that stat out of my ass but good luck proving it wrong.
Other way around. smaller schools will purposely not schedule bigger schools in order to not hurt their playoff chances forcing the bigger schools to look out of state to fill their schedules. Last year in Michigan due to COVID they reduced the regular season by 1 game to 8, and allowed all schools to automatically qualify for the playoffs which is a model bigger schools want to keep in order to avoid this problem
If by smaller school, you mean different class, then yeah, why would they play a larger class school? If by smaller you mean same class but lower enrollment, I will defer back to… So here we are, back at where we where. A different issue as you may be describing it is caused by the same problem.
Well, that is okay what a high school is for so only goes to further prove my grand point, football attracts idiots. Boom Mother Fucker!!!
Home schooled teams have been used in the past to bypass the NCAA SAT requirements. Home schooled kids didn’t have to get a certain score
heard it on a podcast today. Some basketball team did it years ago. Don’t know if it is still true today however
Well, when our cross-town rival won state back to back, I will tell you that it absolutely led to better education. Both smart kids learned how to fully read so that they could share the newspaper articles with the rest of the student body.
These quotes are yadda yadda yadda gold: When told there was a bell schedule and building address associated with the school, Jackson responded, “Right, and I don’t know anything about that. I won’t speak on stuff I don’t know about. Like I said, if it was something that happened like that, then that’s terrible. That’s not how you do business.” Jackson said he intends to cooperate with the state’s investigation. “I don’t have any problem cooperating, letting them know whatever they want to know and things of that nature,” he said. “That stuff should never had happened the way it happened. I’m willing to take responsibility for it and say that it was a mistake. It’s something that shouldn’t have been that way, and that’s something that I have to address stepping into this role.”
