the is the first time in the history of this thread where I truly think we are going to be good this year going into the season. We were pretty decent last year but I definitely didn't expect much coming into the season. Maybe I am too optimistic about the young OL guys taking a step, but I feel really good about this team.
Hopefully Jackson is vaccinated. Can get back quick potentially. Shaheen only if he was a close contact and not positive. Ready to cut that dude
Do WR depth charts even matter? There's only 2 starters listed right? Which typically more are on the field and like 7-8 guys receive passes.
Preseason game 1 we had a lot of brown and ahmed game 2 gaskin Game 3 none played idk if we are going to run gaskin 70% of the time and split the others between brown/ahmed or all 3 will get a ton of plays feel like I need to see a full regular season game before I fully understand how our RB rotation will work
What’s the consensus on Tua not being named a captain? Is it being viewed as a big deal? (knowing that quarterbacks are typically named captains for their teams) Has anything been reported on it?
Oh im sure the Miami beat writers are pretending its a big deal. But he hasn't accomplished anything yet so maybe it's ok for him not to be a captain for now. The only people who care are the beat writers trying to have hot takes. Im sure if Armando was still writing it'd be a 3-part series for him
does this mean Austin Jackson is good to go? Or is he just not listed b/c he is ineligible to practice at the moment?
yes believe so, plus for whatever reason a lot of guys annual salary (like Parker) go down a lot from what they are this year. And Ogbah I think will be a FA, though if he plays like last year I'd love to sign him to a longer term deal
Man, it would be nice to see Jackson make some strides this year. He was the youngest player in the NFL last year and struggled but the kid is talented. Should be evident quickly whether he got better or not.
