anyone ever dealt with strength imbalances in their legs? my right side is outworking my left. it's been an issue in the past, but seems much more noticeable right now as i'm working back from time off. in the past i added in slow stepdowns from a plyobox and single leg rdls. i saw some results, but was wondering if there were other movements to work in.
Any of you guys have recommendations for a decent adjustable bench that isn't too pricey? I'm really not wanting to spend over $300 but will stretch that if I have to. NoNatty how are you liking the Titan Adjustable FID?
I woke up this morning after a training session last night with my oly coach that included probably 75-100 reps of clean variations and then 10+ attempts over 90% of my old clean PR and a nightcap of heavy front squat doubles and clean pull doubles and really understood why people take steroids.
Picked up trash out of my yard with a wheelbarrow and hauled around downed fence posts. Am I strongman now?
Hit a 3x3 425 DL today and a 3x3 335 back squat Tuesday Hoping to break 505 and 405 respectively when I max out next
Remember when you said you weren’t all that strong and then front squatted 315 and repped over 405 for volume on deadlifts showing you actually are strong? Pepperidge Farm remembers
Let’s not talk about bench/strict press numbers though or people will start accusing me of skipping arm day
I am by no means a home gym expert, but it has done its job. It’s affordable and is still holding up fine. I have no plans to replace it.
Landed my first home gym consulting client today. Literally a blank check job. Tasked with everything from flooring to wall coverings to equipment. Asked him if he had a budget in mind, and his response was “no, and it doesn’t matter. Just tell me how much and who to make it out to.” He’s building it mainly for his two teenage sons to use, but also him, his wife, and daughter. Detached building with the downstairs allocated to gym. Top floor is kitchen/dining/hangout that opens to pool. Side of house has a full size pitched and drained lacrosse field with full size outdoor basketball court. Full permission to create and share any content I want. Should be fun. About to spend this man’s money!
That’s awesome, it’s been pretty cool seeing your business take off. Very motivating seeing people bust out of the rat race and become independently successful
My first state meet in oly is 10/23 Had a heavy session this morning and worked up to 155 snatch without a miss (160 was prior PR), jumped to 165 and couldn’t quite stabilize it at the bottom Just did clean work instead of clean and jerk and hit a 20lb PR at 245. Almost had 255 but didn’t quite get my elbows through quick enough. Hoping I can hit 165/225 in the meet. *all weights in pounds*
Worked up to a heavy front squat single PR of 265 on Sunday after OHP and Jerks. Lots of bourbon on Saturday. Sometimes the body makes absolutely no sense. Kept the volume low however.
Bought EliteFTS SSB today. Free shipping for Labor Day, no idea what shipping usually costs but was enough incentive to finally pull the trigger First day deadlifting in at least 6 weeks to heal my ankle. Gonna be pissed if it hurts in the morning
Squatted 262.5/578 for a 5lb PR tonight. I’d call it a 8.5 RPE. I had another maaaaaybe a 3rd. 3 weeks till I swing at 600.
More fun with Donnie Thompson. His comment is the first one. This is on an ad for the preacher pad. Lol
In a sport with abusive pieces of shit, male coaches who groom female clients, and out loud racists he somehow takes the cake for most hated.
One of my favorite female lifters, Amber Hanson, went to train with him I was like Amber nooooo please no
I’ve always thought it was odd that Greg Everett only seems to coach females. Is there anything more to that or is that just his niche?
