It’s pretty fun going to look at a house listed at $400k that needs at least $100k of work.

What is the recommended DDT for yards? Been getting a shitload of tiny ants on the driveway and porch the last few weeks.

We walked in and it had a terrible smell. My wife immediately said “nope” and we left. We didn’t even check out the backyard/pool area which was the whole reason we went.

We're 3 months behind because my GC can't get people to show up for work more than two days in a row. He works his ass off but just can't keep up.

Anyone have a zero turn and cut across a small incline. My driveway and house are elevated and there is about a 20-30 degree pitch and my riding mower works ok but I hear that zero turns may slide more. This is just on the bank next to my driveway and property line.

Hard to say with out actually seeing it, but I'd assume it'd be ok. Tons of lawn care Facebook groups (Look up "Stripe Life (Lawn Care)") you could ask that question in.

If it’s just on one section you’ll be fine. I’ve got a section along my driveway and another along a ditch that are pretty steep. Unless less I’m going too fast and bouncing around I don’t slide much.

I’m a big fan of my zero turn, went from mowing 4 acres in about 4 hours to 1.5.

Fuck woodpeckers, one knocked a hole in my trim last spring and I had to have it repaired. I walked by that side of the house yesterday and sure enough the bastards done it again right above the old spot.

Same things happened to me at a rental a few years back. The landlord dropped off a can of spray foam and told me to just fill it in.

After the first time, the pecker just carved the hole out with quickness. (shocking!)

The next time he came back before the foam and completely set. He ended up being engulfed in the foam as it expanded, that is how he spent his final days. Sucks for him but it solved my pecker problem.

Another house in my subdivision just went up for $375k. We listed at $390 and we have a finished basement. The other house doesn’t have a basement. Hoping we get at least $425. We listed lower in hopes to drive up more offers.

I have both the 2.4 and 5 network turned on through the decos app. I think my devices just auto switch between the best signal if they are dual band capable, but I haven’t had any signal issues since I’ve installed it.

First of a few projects, still need the door and fixtures obviously. The big one starts tomorrow getting new floors throughout the whole house.

Also extending the lanai for more outdoor space but permits will make me wait on that one.

I'm going to build a small pool house in my back yard.
There's a few good sites that have pre-fab that you put together. I'm deciding between that or building it myself. Here's a layout I'm looking at: https://tour.studio-shed.com/index.html
Has anyone built something like this before? This site has all the supplies listed for you as a PDF. I'm attaching the interior one because the others are over the limit.

Anyone have any experience with dealing with Mold issues? My brother in law's basement smells very musty / mildewy and there's no sign of water anywhere from the storm last week - in fact, the smells started being noticeable like 2 days ago when we went to pick up some beer from the fridge in the basement. They've been running a dehumidifier constantly to no avail. He's trying to get someone in for a mold test but it's been hard to get anyone in for the next couple days at least ..

I'd like to keep it around 60k, but the one I built on their site is 65k without anyone building it for me. I've watched a lot of YouTube's of people building sheds that are very similar in the shell on this build, so I may be able to do that part on my own and save a ton. The interior is the part I'm scared about. I feel like this would be a great learning experience, but I'd also like to make sure it's done correctly.

I don't have any (helpful) experience, but there's a small building at work that a lot of our employees have to be in that had a mold issue. We found out where the water was coming in and sealed it. To help with the mold smell, we used an ozone machine and a bunch of dehumidifiers and fans. The ozone machine helped kill the smell real quick.
This is the Ozone machine I bought and used:

The plan was to put it in so my family has a place to stay when they visit. We have someone visiting probably 1+ week each month and it'd be nice to give them their own space (moreso so they aren't in our space). My sister just got off her contract with the PGA and is hopefully moving down here soon. It would be a great place for her to be able to stay without getting an expensive apartment. If she doesn't want to stay, I guess my mom could stay in it for a while when we eventually have kids.
