i think the biggest offseason bullshit was deems saying conley was possibly the best player on the team he’s been horrendous
to summarize, offense has sucked and the defense gave them no chance to find a rhythm until the second half where the offense has proceeded to continue the suck
stepped out this morning and was not happy with my daughter being born so close to the game meaning i couldn’t go now i think she knew
Was that pass to Olson actually an interception? In the stadium they only showed one replay and I didn’t think there was any way in the world they wouldn’t at least review it.
I thought Olsen had it down to the ground or it was a tie at the very least but they hurried up and ran a play before replay decided it was worth a second look somehow
yeah man my wife had a 6 month old when i met her so i have been living the dad life for a while now. he’s about to turn 3 but we just had a little girl and it kicks ass. i jokingly suggested josephine so i could call her pep cc: SugarShaun and wife loved it but banned me from calling her pep so josie it is Spoiler
sorry for going full dad mode. tad drunk and watching the braves after that debacle construxboy hope you’re doing well buddy we should grab a beer this fall sometime
I'd feel better if we just had a bunch of turnovers or something, it's tough thinking this team will be able to take the next step this year after seeing them get owned on both sides of the line tonight though
Mack’s a good coach, I understand we’re you’re coming from but I felt like just a few plays really changes the game
Khafre apparently got some snaps last night, hopefully he can get up to speed by UVA edit: holy crap he was out there for 29 snaps, ended up almost splitting with Green, don't think I noticed Khafre once
He was in on the downs td and looked open, imo, on the sack that caused us to kick the fg He also nearly cost DJ Jones his football career with his piss poor blocking
So I don't know what to say other than it feels like 6 months of hype and excitement was completely undone in 3 hours on Friday night. If our WRs (outside of Downs) can't get separation/beat 1x1 coverage we are going to be in for a long year.
Two weeks of practice and a dud opponent to get things ironed out, come UVA I'm gonna start being judgmental as fuck
scary thing is what we were being fed may not have been all hype, it seemed like every report we heard centered around the defense's dominance and we just chose to look at that from the best perspective thinking they were going against a still very strong offense
defense seemingly let tech move the ball at will on them and tech definitely helped with dumb turnovers but at the end of the day they did only give up 17 despite getting absolutely nothing from the offense. so that's one minor positive i guess
The one thing that gives me hope but also opens up a smaller can of worms is that Sam and the offense looked like absolute shit in the opener last year too, Cuse just couldn't do anything offensively either and we eventually wore them down
I listened to Mack's press conference and he was generally very pleased with the defensive effort. Called out Ritzee by name and said he had a great game and is only going to get better as the season goes on. Was very hard on the WRs outside of Downs. Said that if the outside guys (aka Green/Simmons) can't beat 1x1 coverage then everyone is just going to double Downs and the offense isn't going to get going. He said the RBs actually looked pretty good once they settled in to the game, but said we've got to get them more touches. Said the OL issues were attributable to poor communication and missed assignments which they've gotta clean up.
To be fair, both averages were boosted by a run towards the end of each half when Tech wasn't expecting it.
I’m gonna need you guys to fix your shit. Wife is a huge UNC fan and I haven’t got laid since Thursday. TIA
