Cut is awesome, and he’s done an incredible job at Duke. That job will just grind you down. Duke should try to hire Healy though.
I know Healy would love to have the UNC job and I’m pretty sure he’d take a Duke or Wake type job in a heartbeat too. Hopefully he’ll be somewhere in the ACC that maybe has slightly less pressure. He had a good shot to get the Vandy job but it obviously didn’t work out. If he wins a few this year he’ll be a top choice for a few schools I’d imagine. He’s got some donor connections to VT and family connections to GT. He’s always said he’d love to coach at GT.
Come on down, Jimmy Lake. #20 UW loses at home to FCS Montana. 50th ranked recruiting class. Half their 4* have transferred out.
Shaw still thinks he’s going to be a NFL head coach any day now he stopped recruiting in like 17 and it shows
What’s wrong with Chryst? Seems like he’s just got an exceptionally bad QB currently because otherwise I thought you guys looked tough
Too stubborn to make adjustments, sugarcoats things, nepotism by keeping his friends employed (Rudolph - good recruiter, bad OL coach), extremely vanilla play calling, doesn't utilize the strengths of his RBs and WRs, etc One recruit yesterday said, 'Woah, they need help. I can potentially get in there and bring a different elememt.' Hopefully that was a QB
Are there any jobs that are locks to open up this winter? Duke is one for me. I think ASU is probably the next closest to a lock because Herm won’t likely be able to survive that knvestigation.
I mean, nepotism (in a way) seems like how you guys operate. It seems like the job is passed down. That QB cost y’all the game. Wisconsin was the better team
Collins ain't on a hotlist. Year 3 of at least a seven year project to turn that team around. About the only thing he needs is more player experience and depth.
I agree that the job he inherited was a massive challenge, but I only see two wins on that schedule. Assuming that holds, how much leeway does a guy get with 8 wins over three seasons? They look totally inept on offense, and that’s with his guys now in place.
I just looked to make sure I’m not insane, and it’s worse than I thought. Under Collins GT has eclipsed 30 points in only two games. That’s in 23 games played. I assume he will get a chance to fire his OC which buys him another season, but that’s assuming he can make it that far. I’m not convinced GT bears Kennesaw State this week.
I agree he needs to show more improvement and consistency, beyond just beating Miami who is back on the schedule this year to relive their thrashing of 2019, a proud distinction they share alongside USF and NCSU. Maybe Jeff Scott at USF could potentially feel some heat in 2022 if they don't improve.
