I wish Marvel would dial back the humor just a bit. I think the reason Winter Soldier is still my favorite Marvel film is because it wasn't trying so hard to be funny.
That’s the other thing, anytime I see her I instantly say “Sextina Aquafina” and think of BoJack and get sad.
Just got back, very enjoyable. Fight choreography was on point, CGI never bothered me, the only issue is that I am officially used to/maybe tired of the climactic battle formula, the darkest moment where the hero is down and all hope is lost but something unbelievable happens and the tide turns! I liked the use of the mythical creatures, none of them are just bullshit, all are authentic from the lore. Never felt gimmicky or appropriation-y.
My wife asked me tonight if Scarlet Witch could beat Captain Marvel in a fight and I said he’ll yeah she could. I really don’t know if there was ever a comic with this happening though. Any help?
Speaking of squirrel girl, this popped up on the timeline a couple times yesterday. The furries have to be so angry this got canceled. https://movieweb.com/new-warriors-milana-vayntrub-squirrel-girl-footage-photos/
Just saw it and loved it. My wife immediately put it in her top 5. Guessing the second post-credit sets up a 10 Rings TV series?
Spoiler Not too much to it. Xailing is sitting as the new head of the Ten Rings and says they have work to do. The camera pans out and there are now woman and men training, with the compound now resembling her fight club from earlier in the movie.
Spoiler Mid credits: Shang chi and Katy and Wong talk to Bruce and Capt Marvel about the power source of the ten rings being like a beacon. End credits: Xialing, the sister, is head of the Ten Rings organization compound and there are a lot of girls training and murals and such. Modernizing. Probably a TV series.
Hawkeye trailer was reportedly supposed to drop on the 17th but Renner posted yesterday on his IG that it will be out today.
I started to try to slot Shang-Chi into my rankings but realized I haven’t updated mine in a while and this thing is so hilariously unwieldy now that I don’t know how I feel about anything aside from my top 3 and bottom 3 so here’s that: 1. Thor: Ragnarok 2. Winter Soldier 3. GOTG Vol. 1 Somewhere between 8 and 14: Shang-Chi 23. Iron Man 2 24. The Incredible Hulk 25. Thor: The Dark World Trevor’s continuity has helped Iron Man 3 climb out of the cellar for me.
I see everyone is hopping aboard the IM3 bandwagon and I'd like you to know you aren't welcome Day 1 bitches only
Since it wasn’t D+ premiere access, doubt anyone really knows. Typically those are 3 months later but since it wasn’t, maybe longer
Currently doing the chronological re-watch. Finished Thor 2 last night...wasn't as bad as I remembered but that's probably because I'm dreading IM3
I don't know. You can still get some entertainment out of the slide. 45 days from release is what they said I believe.
Would that be the start of the premiere access then for free 3 months later? If not, that makes no sense and I’m extremely skeptical
I think Disney said no more premier access for rest of 2021 releases. The only movie I can see me making myself go to the theater for this year is Spider-Man
friend talked to Feige at the Shang chi premiere and he would prefer all movies didn’t have premiere access. I think that’s what he said but curious if he has ultimate control with that?
Yeah no premiere access but new movies would be available sooner on it than in the past. I don't think I've seen a Spider-Man trailer yet. Every source I listen to keeps saying one will be released and then it never happens.
