Has anyone had issues casting last week tonight to Chromecast? It's happened every week for the past couple of months on all of my Chromecasts. It just crashes my hbo max or plays audio only. Plays fine on my phone without casting or through fire tv or the xbox hbo app, and it's only this show for some reason.
This is my first season with yttv. Anyone have an issue when streaming espn to a chromecast where it just switches the game midstream? Sometimes it even goes to a game that's already ended
New sports channels in the add-on sports package with YTTV. I don't think the price changed, despite ~2x of channels included. New channels now included. beIN Sports Billiards TV Outside TV+ Players TV PokerGO+ SportsGrid Stadium College Sports VSiN
In case someone else comes across it, did some googling and saw it was a recent glitch with 1st gen chromecasts. Switched to a newer one and it went away
Any idea when ABC gets a 4K channel on YTTV? Cause the normal ABC broadcast is so trash, even compared to the non-4K broadcast of all the other networks
YTTVers: Anyone else get 3 NFL Network channels pop up the other day? I'm guessing they are alternate/overflow channels since they do not display permanently in the guide. I'm not a big NFL game watcher. What should I expect to air on those?
Yes and yes they are overflow channels. Not sure why they exist for the NFL Network since it's not like they air multiple live games at the same time. As you stated, they will only show up in your live guide if there's something airing on them so it's really nothing to pay attention to.
Custom Guide People: How do you order your channel lineup? Spoiler I am 1. 4k Channels 2. Local Networks 3. Sports Round the clock 4. Sports occasionally (TNT, TBS, USA) 5. Default/doesnt matter.
Locals Primary sports E/Bravo NatGeo/Smithsonian/etc TBS/TNT/FX types Second tier sports channels everything else
I've never understood why they don't let you create custom categories and sort that way (locals, sports, kids, etc). Moving channels around is just so unnecessarily clunky.
Every few months I'll close my eyes and drag the channels around to get that feeling of when they'd change the cable channel lineup as a kid
I will say that I love the sports filter in the live guide on Saturdays. Incredible for finding games. Should be clutch during march madness, too
I just record every cfb and nfl game and watch at my leisure. Rarely watch anything live unless I put on sports center in the background or something.
Same. Live TV primarily gets used for events/sports, rare occasions where I feel the need to see live breaking news, and putting on TBS sitcoms or Bravo as work background.
These disputes are always annoying but at least Google will provide a discount to everyone if they don't agree to terms with NBC in time.
It appears nbc, nbcsports, and golf channel would be the big ones for me, but not really that big of a deal. I think it’s 10-14 channels total including stuff like msnbc, CNBC, etc.
If you are a YouTube TV subscriber, you may lose NBC, Bravo, CNBC, E!, Golf Channel, MSNBC, Oxygen, SYFY, Telemundo, The Olympic Channel, Universal Kids, Universo, and USA Network. YouTube TV may also drop your NBC Sports Regional Networks including; NBC Sports Bay Area, NBC Sports Boston, NBC Sports California, NBC Sports Chicago, NBC Sports Philadelphia, SNY, and NBC Sports Washington.
my significant other will not be happy about Bravo and E!. This seems pretty substantial. Please figure it out
Fuck you Peacock!!! You took The Office from Netflix now this. Fuck your app. Did not know they are owned by Comcast makes sense.
It’s ok to admit that you’ll miss them. I will. Going to be super annoyed if I lose DVR access to the shows I haven’t caught up on.
Hulu, dish, or fubo? Dish has most channels, Hulu has Hulu, and fubo has all the sports? I need CNBC and acc network. Everything else is nice.
That they're proactively discounting the service instead of just giving out a discount/credit to people who complain/try to cancel is big. The latter is the norm in my experience.
Sure. But NBC for sports and those other channels for reality TV pretty much cover the two reasons why we watch live TV.
Fubo has both. Fubo is great if you just want sports/news channels. The only channels it doesn't have are TBS and TNT.
That was worded poorly, I meant big as in agreeing with you that it's a substantial loss and that they seem to think so too since they're doing the proactive discount instead of a reactive one.
Makes perfect business sense for Comcast. YTTV is killing their cable business and it allows them to pick up on peacock, but man, I really just needed one channel and now I have to look elsewhere.
