UNC is replacing most of its skill players but Howell hasn’t been great. I assume he turns it around and ends up having a good game. Tough start to his season though.
I wasn't/am not high on him so I wouldn't mind a season where he struggles to avoid us taking him high in rd 1
We still have a whole season for someone to break out, but the main reason I was team take a QB last year was because I don't like this year's class at all.
Yeah this is the first time I've watched him, but he does not look like a franchise guy that you tank for.
Assuming a top 2 or 3 pick (safe assumption), unless somebody really pops as a franchise QB (because Sam Howell sure as shit ain't it), I'd be happy for them to field offers to turn it into 2 good picks or take a top defensive guy. Build the roster and be shit for another year, then take another swing next year. FO has plenty of rope to be patient.
Don't think it will matter in the end, but it kind of sucks we restructured Goff's deal to create space this year when we currently have $17M in room going into the season. Would have saved us a good amount of money if/when we dump him next year or the year after, and kept his cap # down if we decided to keep him beyond this year.
On the subject of college QBs to watch, it seems like Matt Corral from Ole Miss has a lot of momentum with the internet draft gurus like Jeremiah and Brugler. I think he's was QB1 for Jeremiah coming into the season, and they were both talking him up last night as being similar to Zach Wilson from this past year.
Need to go after some areas in Africa or island nations. Might be able to hide the past easier. Areas that have no idea what the NFL is.
Let's target North Sentinel Island. They've never had contact with the outside world and we could convince them that the Lions are a powerhouse. However, they'll likely kill anyone that tries to approach and spread the good word.
That seems like a really stupid and arrogant idea from the NFL's perspective. Am I missing something here?
Cant read the article. Each team is just picking one city or country and giving them TV rights to adopt said franchise? I would think Toronto would already get the Bills. What is supposed to come out of this?
Please tell me there is going to be a draft but cities instead of college players. And then please tell me there will be mock drafts of that.
No chance they give us Toronto over the Bills. I'd go for Jamaica, given their national team is the Indomitable Lions.
Have we had a murderer? Seems like one of the few remaining spots on the Lions Franchise Disaster bingo card.
If Sewell and Odooka end up being busts and Swift killed a guy, we should just wrap this up altogether. Having three franchises in Detroit is still pretty good.
If I'm being completely honest this was pretty much my reaction to the rumors. I love Campbell, absolute psycho but I love him.
Took me a minute to determine if that was real or fake, and that tells me all I need to know about HCDC.
I need them to keep Sewell at RT so that I can continue to gloss over any bad plays he has there with "he's never played RT before so back off".
