The OL play is horrifically bad. Not just any one player, but the entire line. I don't know what we do to fix this. The whole line is an absolute disaster. We are an 8 win team right now. Edit: Fire Jeff Quinn. Yesterday.
Def Wisconsin's. They had a pretty easy opponent today, defense held them to 92 yards and like 1 first down, offense gave up more points and yards than our defense did and everyone of our RBs looked good, but not great. We ran it down Eastern Michigan's throat, and in the process gave Mertz next to no time to throw and prepare on field for ND in two weeks. Our defense, yet again, will be top tier and one of the best in the nation. A good handful of our best defensive players have been out, too. Our offense, outside of the RBs, leaves a lot to be desired. Coan will receive a lot of pressure - it likely comes down to which QB sucks less.

He took one really bad run for a loss on an RPO. Granted, it was a pretty good tackle in space and he probably picks up a chunk of yards if he breaks it. But he got sat for a few drives after that.

Also, our schedule sucks ass so there will be a lot of games that go this way and coin flip wins or losses. Win enough to keep the class together but not so much ND sniffs the playoffs.

I just want 10 wins for recruiting. So I rewatched this morning. This is really a prime 2013-2014 bk team - I do think that the oline gets it together more than they did. A lot of it was effort and terrible pre-snap calls. This is 8-4 with a punchers chance for 10 wins and 6-6 is not off the table. silver linings - we will keep freemen’s for another year at least and at a minimum he is going to fill the roster with dudes. - Kelly does try to scheme around the holes in his teams - I think the silence from Pete’s question “is there more improvement than you thought needed for this team” means he is caught off guard. Hoping we see adjustments across the board to protect the oline. - we probably keep 1-2 of the senior wrs if we end up 9-3 - lots of young guys will get snaps - Buchner looks good
great play call rees is a bright spot for me, he finds a way to put some points up with a high school level oline
