There was stuff last year that it would be out 2/12/21 but then have read expecting around 10/15-10/18 for it to release on Disney Plus.
Wasn't the story when they announced the theater only release that it would be on D+ in 45 days (likely for the $30 price BW was until February)? Or did I imagine that?
Not just Marvel/Disney.. Studios HAVE to go back to Theaters. No one on the creative side want straight to platform. And agreed, the BW/SJ stuff helped things now
Possibly but they've also claimed it was because covid status changed between distribution dates so who really knows, other than marvel super insider fsuNizz
Also, HBO Max was blamed for Suicide Squad 2’s epic flop. Doubt we ever see another Black Widow situation with Marvel.
Took my Marvel Buddy eight year old to Shang-Chi. I really enjoyed it, and the boy loved it. The fight scenes were top notch. Very enjoyable after BW and Loki. Also, we randomly watched Dr. Strange a couple weeks ago - it was the only MCU movie we hadn't watched - and I'm really glad we did. Would have been somewhat lost with the Wong storyline.
From the 30-60 minutes I saw of that movie yeah it was solid for what it is. Plus I’m never going to be mad at having to watch Emily Blunt for two hours
Other than the smaller frame, I think the Spider-Man 3 Venom is a much better design than the Venom movie version. Not the character or story choices (not that the Venom movie has a great story), but the design of the character. Am I alone in this?
This will end with a settlement and a payday to the Ditko family. That's all they want anyway. Their lawyer will remind them how (A) Disney lawyers basically have the fully-equipped Infinity Gauntlet, and (B) if by some miracle the Ditko estate were to win, they would have no apparatus in place to make any further money off the rights, as their only avenue would be crappy direct-to-video releases that fans would ignore, bringing them no money, and even the heavy hitter like Spider-Man would see them tied up in further litigation with Sony for the next decade or more. Disney will cut them a check and Ditko's name will appear in print on the credits of future movies.
