I actually preferred the Nuna carseat but went with the Mesa because it all came together in the travel system.
Also got twins (20 mos)... and a singleton on the way. We went Chicco KeyFit 2 for infant, and they worked great. But their bigger car seat we got is a game changer... Cybex sirona s. The thing swivels for easier loading/unloading. It came with a bunch of random bells/whistles - crumple zone, load leg, kid reminder when you turn off the car too. Not that I would ever leave my kids in the car but it's nice.
It's called a load leg. It's purpose is as Athens described. Basically an anti-rebound bar for the front. The one with this car seat is optional as it folds under the seat if you don't want to use it. We use it but it does take up some floor storage room.
All this stroller/car seat talk… If any Atlanta area dads want two double strollers then just dm me. They are dirty as fuck from sitting in the carport for a few years, but nothing that can’t be cleaned up. One is a Chicco Bravo for 2 and the other is a Mountain Buggy.
As a Tech fan, you have access to the superior Under Armour athletic team short. I recommend picking up several colors
This looks nice. It reminded me that I bought a Martin Dingman belt about 7 years ago and the thing is still in incredible shape. I wear it nearly every day too. Mid 20s me thought spending ~$100 on a generic brown leather belt was a bit crazy, but it's definitely paid off. I'd be on my fifth $20 US Polo Assn. belt from TJ Maxx at this point. https://martindingman.com/collections/all-belts
Thanks to whoever brought up 32 Degrees. Picked up four polos and some boxers for $50. Great fit and super comfortable. Can't beat the price.
These look nice. I don’t own anything from MD but have a coworker who swears by their stuff. He has a bag that is very nice but I can’t rationalize spending $2000+. Some of their belts are a little much for a business setting so I’d prob go with something on the simple end but they def look nice. Went with AE because I grabbed a few pairs of shoes earlier in the year and the styles obviously work.
Needed some new sunglasses for golf. Had a pair of Oakley half jackets with prizm golf lenses that have been great, but I've worn them out over 5 or so years. Got some Oakley Mercenaries today. Took off a pair of Mauis and put these on and the lenses were comparable. Also the lightest weight glasses I've ever worn. These may end up being my favorite glasses ever.
moved to a new apartment so buying a lot of shit. trying to do it all second-hand for price and environmental reasons, but man is it a time suck.
I'm using the Cybex Cloud Q infant car seat and won't buy another brand. This is definitely the one I'm buying next as well
This less so applies to Brewtus who said it was for older kids, but how did you integrate or (choose not to) other important baby travel considerations like strollers etc. Did you guys go a "system" from Cybex?
Those look nice. I think I’m going to have to pick up one or two. The last few Allen Edmonds belts I’ve bough have not held up very well.
We did get the Cybex Gazelle S because of it's easy transition into a double stroller, but I wouldn't say there's a system, just a big fan of their stuff. The stroller itself is pretty large, so I have every intention of buying one I can throw in an overhead like a Yoyo or something
Moved into a new office that has two recessed can lights that are super bright to anyone seeing me on zoom calls, even when dimmed to the lowest setting. They are just normal daylight leds. Are there any fixes to that outside of turning the lights off for video calls?
get a tailgating tent and put it over your desk solves your lighting problem and adds a festive atmosphere to the workplace
Call building maintenance and ask them to change the bulbs? If you don’t have maintenance buy new bulbs and change them out.
