Agreed. They just need more TV time. Hopefully Rampage helps with that. Weird thing is that Women's matches do really good numbers for WWE but are usually the lowest rated segments on Dynamite. The exception is Britt Baker. Maybe it's just the lack of another superstar talent.
It was a very entertaining Smackdown. Seth and Edge was pretty good. All the storyline development with the Bloodline and Paul.
This is horrifying with the sound off, but that sound really amps up the stupidity of whatever this was.
Zelina had a match scheduled for MSG Friday that got cut for time... And then was on TV today in a tribute for her dad who died on 9/11 Rough two days for her
That stinks for her because the match probably meant more than just a TV match in Denver Colorado. They probably should've given her a dark match post TV going off.
https://www.wrestlinginc.com/news/2...n-possible-kenny-omega-vs-will-ospreay-match/ Ospreay vs. Omega, make it happen AEW
The WON ratings are out for All Out, the steel cage match is the second-highest rated tag team match in history at 5.75, only surpassed by Omega/page vs. the Young Bucks from AEW Revolution in 2020. Tied for overall 9th highest rated match in history. http://www.profightdb.com/top-rated-matches.html
Damn, they're really concerned with the ratings tonight it being the 1st MNF of the season and AEW doing better last week. Built the whole tag thing last week for this week and switched it to the world title instead.
Tony Khan would never do this, in fact he probably would have let her main event MSG. Can't believe this went over well in the locker room. In the near future WWE's roster is going to be entirely made up of members of the Anoa'i family and former college athletes trying to run out their first contracts so they can jump ship
I have to think Vince is trying to sell the wwe. He is just handing talent over to them, doesn't seem to care in the world that AEW is heating up. Trying to get profits up to look good in a sale is the only real explanation.
On the one hand, that'll definitely help ratings. On the other hand, the whole point of MITB is the pop when you realize the holder is finally cashing in, and now that's ruined.
Are we sure Big E is going to win? It seems to me that Lashley vs Goldberg is going down in Saudi Arabia. It doesn’t need the title but I assume that will be a title match. The funniest thing Vince could do is book this match tonight and still have Big E lose.
Which is why it's stupid to have a baby face win the briefcase because they shouldn't be surprise cashing in or jump in on someone after a match
Knowing wwe Goldberg will probably interfere to cost him the title so E doesn't even get a clean title win. And they just run Lashley v Goldberg without title
Only time it worked with a babyface winner is RVD and, to a lesser extent, CM Punk. RVD announced the cash-in on John Cena before hand, on a PPV built around ECW. Made perfect sense. CM Punk cashed in on Jeff Hard and turned heel in the process. Other than that it only works as a heel being underhanded.
He's going to win. Lashley and Goldberg wont be for the title. Goldberg cut a promo a few weeks ago saying that when he returns for Lashley he didn't want the title only revenge. Lashley drops to E Lashley puts over Goldberg at Blood Money
Also feels like Kofi and Woods are kinda lost at this point without E. So a reunited New Day will be fun... as would a possible heel turn way down the road.
Think Xavier could pull off a heel run. Both his partners got their time as a singles champion, he can't even get his dream of winning king of the ring, let alone any singles pushes. Turns on E eventually for his time to shine
Woods is too much of himself on screen and with his YouTube channel to pull off a heel turn imo. He'd have to shut all that down to make it work.
The New Day should never break up IMO. No one is going to want to boo those guys at this point in their careers.
People have forgotten that New Day started out as heels. They can do it as needed though I don't think it's needed. E wins, Lashley and Goldberg go off and do their own thing while the champ gets a new challenge, probably Orton, though who knows what that means for Matt Riddle. Maybe they drop the tag titles and Riddle gets involved in the world title mix
Main reason why I’m not watching tonight. I just don’t trust wwe to not fuck up. If I thought it was better than 50/50 for E to get his first title run I’d watch all three hours to see how it unfolds. Instead I’ll check in here to see what’s going down and maybe catch the last ten.
Apparently Joe isn’t injured and they just contrived that situation to wrap up the Kross-Joe story getting hotter than expected and ending up with him in the ring when he wasn’t supposed to be wrestling anymore because they hired him to be more of a trainer/production type role I guess using him to get over a developmental talent was asking too much
