Not sure who listens to the New Day podcast but the episode they dropped on Monday about mental health was so emotional. E speaking about the challenges he’s overcome had me in tears. So incredibly happy for him. I hope people tune in and support him. Yeah RAW sucks but he’s a bright spot and if people tune Vince will see he made the right call.
My updated WWE viewing schedule. Record Raw and Smackdown. Raw - Skip to Big E segments. Erase. Smackdown - Skip to Roman Reigns segments. Erase.
9 days later and I finally receive a response from BR and told me I will get a refund in 5-10 days. Awesome customer support they have there.
I was one of the hundreds of thousands ordering a CM Punk shirt on the night he debuted. It finally arrives in the mail today. Apparently the company had to order literally every ringer tee in the united states to meet demand.
Reports are saying the title change was supposed to happen at the draft but they moved it up for reasons.
Kinda interested to see the new set up for NXT. That being said I probably won’t watch after I see the new set up.
I predict a week one spike in ratings, as is common for a show getting a new makeover, followed by a steady decline back to the 500-600k it was running weekly before this.
yeah. I gave up on NXT a while ago. It has its moments now but man the glory days of a few years ago were just top tier wrestling. I’ll watch for the new set up and see how they work it but that’s probably about it for me. It just doesn’t get my attention anymore.
They really need to tour the brand. Small venues to get legit crowds. Takeovers we’re amazing for the in ring action and the fans who are largely the same very group that elevate AEW
This would help. No matter if the show is any good or not on a week to week basis and no matter what happens I still feel like I am watching the same show every week and I end up just tuning it out.
I find NXT pretty bland and lacking of star power, but will tune in some tonight just to see the new presentation for sure.
I hope week 1 the show starts with a festival of color and then it goes back after the intro like Emmalina.
A live crowd with a new look weekly would go a long long way. NXT was doing some TakeOvers early on in some pretty awesome smaller venues. Similar to some that AEW does with college basketball stadiums vs the 20k pro stadiums. And I agree seeing the same setup, mostly the same fans in the same seats hurts the product. Plus it doesn’t sound rowdy with whatever they are fitting into the PC. Having good shows with hot crowds makes you want to keep watching and increase viewership. AEW when they have average shows you don’t really complain because the fans are so into the show from start to finish it makes everyone feel way over. NXT is very much missing that. I know people make fun of the change of color but NXT was way to dark. Dark logo, black mat, lowered lights in the PC just gave it a bad vibe.
They should just reboot the last game show NXT season that never aired with the originally planned cast and pair them with seasoned pros like they never got to the main roster - Adam Rose - Damien Sandow - Hunico - Bo Dallas - Big E - Xavier Woods - Jinder Mahal - Seth Rollins
I have up NXT a while ago, just seemed like banging your head against the wall getting invested in guys that would get moved then forgotten. The latest crop of guys that came in after UE just bored me
I think Cornette has been reading these message boards. He called Spears a guy who "we've already established no one wants to see do anything again"
Never forget the rumble pop Tye Dillinger got. Some say this moment propelled him into being a top guy at AEW.
Kevin Dunn is at tonight's WWE NXT TV taping to personally oversee the USA Network broadcast. Going forward, everything will be described as "NXT 2.0" on camera. They intend to emphasize that this is a newer NXT hard. Paul Levesque is understandably not at today's taping. As of an hour ago, Samoa Joe is not there. PWInsider.com is told that the show script has changed a "ton" of times over the course of the day. The atmosphere has been described as "weird" by talents we have heard from.
their incessant need to shove branding like this down our throats is pretty high up on my list of reasons why I can't stomach WWE's presentation anymore cue It's BOSS TIME
see while this definitely nagged, it was nothing compared to Cole actively trying to ruin Sasha for me
The biggest thing that gets on my nerves about WWE is their aversion to using first and last names That Parker Boudreaux kid they signed out of UCF had been using Gunnar Harland like his real name wasn’t unique enough but apparently now he’s just “Harland” I wonder how they’d bill Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels if they came through nowadays
So I always forget to tune into AEW on Wednesday just for whatever reason, just sat down and thought OK I’ll eat some dinner and be done when AEW kicks off….it’s Tuesday
This has annoyed me for so long. I know it’s such a dumb thing to be annoyed about but it’s driven me nuts forever.
To me, I think using a full name just sounds more normal/real. Even if they referred to them as their full name on the graphics/introductions it would be better. Similar to how real sports will announce a guys full name during lineups but during the action will flip to just a last name. Again it’s dumb, but like you said it’s so pointless it annoys me.
