I think it’s more likely that Apple completely removes the port and goes fully wireless with MagSafe, vs. ever going USB-C in the iPhone
Just received mine a few weeks ago. It's good, I like it a lot. Still playing with it but I do like the heart rate and exercise aspects of it. I live in a pretty hilly area so it was cool to be able to see the elevation that I cover on my daily walk/run/rucks. This may be novel to some, but never really needed it. That said, I do like it a lot. I still want to look into the sleep stuff that I've seen/heard people use. Anyone have any recs for apps on that? I'll pay, I don't care.
Have an 11 Pro Max - only gripe I have is the battery life is starting to suck, so not sure if I’ll upgrade or just take this one into Apple to have a new battery installed.
So for you more knowledgeable individuals I have a question. I have a 10 s max or whatever it’s called. Half the screen is unresponsive so I need to upgrade. My question is, is the price difference between the 12 and 13 worth it? Was thinking of saving some cash and just going with the 12 but don’t know enough to know if I should get the 13. I’ll be doing pro max for which ever I get. TIA
Idk, you could message Apple chat and see, but I think it's just limited to the 12 and mini like afb mentioned.
This is the from the most respected / in-the-know analyst that covers Apple. Amid rumors of a portless iPhone, Kuo clarified that Apple is more likely to switch directly to a portless model rather than first change to USB-C: If the iPhone abandons Lightning in the future, it may directly adopt the portless design with MagSafe support instead of using a USB-C port. https://www.macrumors.com/2021/03/02/iphone-keeping-lightning-no-usb-c/
it looks like it’s only the 500 gig one that’s not being offered. So if that’s the case what do you guys think is the price difference worth it?
my bad I thought I read it was cheaper I didn’t know the actual prices I assumed what I read was accurate.
it's possible in the coming days carriers offer deals on the 12 pro max but I don't ever follow carriers so idk
is there a big difference between the phones? I want to know if I should wait or just get 12 my phone is driving me nuts.
if they are the same price there is no reason to not get the 13 if they are like $300 or more off, then a 12 would be fine
The amount of people that come here & ask questions that can be answered by visiting www.apple.com is astounding
So is it worth $200 to get a 120hz screen? I don't really care about any of the other differences between the 13 and 13 pro. Only time I really watch video if it's in a post on TMB or an occasional YouTube video. Once in a while I'll watch part of a game on my phone but it's pretty rare. So I'm guessing no but screen tech is not something I am familiar with. I'm also thinking maybe hold off for the 14 or 13s if they do that.
Maybe someone can answer this for me because it's pherased differently than when I last bought an iPhone, but I want to buy unlocked since I don't use one of the traditional 4 carriers. It says "connect on your own later" as an option, is that the same as unlocked?
After 20 minutes of waiting on Apple Support to answer my question, they said it is the same as unlocked.
I don’t think I would pay $200 for ONLY the higher Hertz. It really does make animations look much smoother though.
With supply chain issues and so on, even if they are manufacturing a lot of their own parts, I imagine there will be a moderate to severe iPhone inventory problem.
Yeah the other stuff is neat and all but I don't use the camera on my phone much and what I do use it for the fancier camera features won't really have any impact.
god forbid we use a thread on a message board to ask questions about what the thread is dedicated to. I mean the fucking horror.
Did anything change with the size of the magsafe stuff in the iPhone? I read rumors it might change but haven't seen anything posted on the Apple websites I follow.
Can’t decide if I wanna go with the pro or pro max. I have the XS max now, just not sure I wanna go any bigger with the pro max.
Think I'm going to roll with the base model 13. 128GB is beyond enough storage for me. Looks like my iPhone 11 is worth $340 trade-in, could sell it for probably around $400 if I sell it on Swappa.
Gazelle is another site. There was another one I read about on macrumors but can’t think of name off the top of my head.
I have never been happier since I just started renting my phone. Get the new one every time it comes out no fucks given.
Not everybody is fortunate enough to have access to the internet. When I can’t access the internet I always come to TMB to get my questions answered.
