No, no, no I’ve never been this sad for a celebrity death. He’s my favorite comedian next to Bill Burr and I always pull up a Norm video when I needed a laugh. Him hiding cancer from everyone is unbelievable in this day and age. RIP
I saw Norm once when he was just starting to do new material for his next special. He did at least two hours, with a good fifteen minutes about how all the other apples are pissed at Red Delicious apples. I believe that ended up in one of his last specials, but to watch him work it out on stage was seriously magical.
just last night a weekend update clip played where the joke is about how Tommy and Pam are naming one kid after him and another after her - the girl will be named "Pamela" and the boy will be named "Incredibly lucky bastard" (or something like that)
His Netflix show was also outstanding. He was apparently close friends with a number of really random, wildly interesting people. The Billy Joe Shaver episode was particularly great.
Just incredible long form Norm comedic bit from one of his albums, I don’t know that I’ve ever laughed harder than the first time I heard this.
One of the most uniquely hilarious people in history. Will be watching all the clips itt later tonight.
He also was reading a newspaper the whole time everyone else went and when Ross started trying to roast him, he said he was trying to find something funny so he was reading Marmaduke. He had a style that no one else could pull off and isn't funny even explaining it. He was just hilarious. Classic stuff
I remember watching him on weekend update and he completely messed the cue card read up and just made a joke of it. It was hilarious and he had that “DGAF” attitude about him.
"Greg Giraldo is here. He has the grace of a swan, the widsom of an owl, and the eye of an eagle. Ladies and gentlemen, this man is for the birds" RIP
