I am very happy to see the recognition he is getting because he hasnt been on TV much lately but just had so much good internet content. He was in my avatar forever and I really have seen every norm clip posted to the internet.
Death is a funny thing. Not funny haha, like a Woody Allen movie, but funny strange, like a Woody Allen marriage.
This is perfect. Norm was unlike any other comedian in his delivery. You had absolutely NO idea where he was going until the punchline.
Norm was your favorite comedian. And if he wasn't, he was your favorite comedian's favorite comedian.
this is incredibly worth your time, despite having to deal with dennis miller good night, sweet prince
I'm devastated. He was my favorite and second isn't really close What a sad day. It reminds me of that tragedy
He was amazing on that show, completely unfiltered, completely off the cuff. Among the many things he was a master of, he could take a joke way over the line in a geniusly smart way that had you laughing at him like he's a a silly idiot so he got away with it.
FFUUUUUUCK. Watching YouTube norm videos is literally my favorite pastime. This is the first celebrity death that really affected.
I recall one serious video where he was talking about how he idolized the actor Richard Farnsworth because he was riddled with cancer yet hid it from everyone and suffered alone… Norm must have had the cancer when he was talking about it…fuck. update: someone found it and isolated a clip
big fan of him nonstop shitting on OJ Simpson which was hilarious “Well it’s official… murder is legal in the state of California”
On the directors commentary I remember them saying that they edited that movie to make it pg13 instead of R. I've been hoping for the uncut version to drop or leak forever.
I was sitting at a bar at BWI on a Sunday in probably 2002. A dude sat down next to me and I recognized it was Norm. After the initial nod/hey man… Norm: Ravens, huh? Me: Yep, football Sunday. Norm: Should be called the Crows… <perfect Norm pause> Norm: …cause of all the murder. He finished whatever he was drinking, got up, and left. Was probably two minutes total. And that’s my Norm MacDonald story. He apparently had a thing about sports figures and murder.
"that's a terrible name for an airline. reminds me of that tragedy" "...he was in canada." forgot about this
I can get why some people just don’t think norm was funny and I appreciate their freedom to be wrong about something
