The Guilty takes place over the course of a single morning in a 911 dispatch call center. Call operator Joe Bayler (Gyllenhaal) tries to save a caller in grave danger—but he soon discovers that nothing is as it seems, and facing the truth is the only way out. Watch The Guilty on Netflix October 1.
Money Heist just won’t fucking end. I watched this latest release because I thought it was finished and it ends saying Part 2 or something coming in December. Fuuuuck
Just finished the limited series called Unbelievable. It's been out a while I think so nothing new and it was fine... whatever. The thing about it though is that it was 8 episodes and each was ~45 mins long. It should have been half that...at most. I hate when they do that. If you ever watch it, just watch the first 2 and last 2 episodes and you'll get the same experience.
DON’T LOOK UP tells the story of two low-level astronomers who must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching comet that will destroy planet Earth. Written and Directed by Adam McKay. Watch DON’T LOOK UP on December 24 only on Netflix.
Someone hacked my account and changed all my information even changed my default language to Spanish. At least it was somewhat simple to change everything back. At least it was for less than a day.
Thanks, looking forward to this. I can YouTube black hole myself for 3-4 hours every time I start to watch any drum video.
There's a couple notable people left out -- no one in the straight up virtuoso category is interviewed. Would have liked to see Danny Carey, Carter Beauford, Neil Peart if he was still living at that time. Still great though. It focuses on peoples' passion and love for drums, so that's really inspiring. RHCP drummer Chad Smith is really cool. I didn't know he was from Detroit unlike the rest of the band. They do a good job promoting some females along with all the males too. Side note, I'm on a quest to watch all the great musical documentary content in the world. Any time you guys have recs post em up
Speaking of things Canadians like and musical docs, I started the Rush documentary on Netflix last night. Really good so far. I know some Rush music but didn't know all about their backstory. Some things I learned: Geddy Lee's parents are both Holocaust survivors They got signed before Neil Peart was even in the band -- original drummer left upon signing so they had to find Peart in a couple weeks before going on tour Neil Peart is super literate and the nerdiest of them all, which led to him writing a lot of the lyrics
At the time they came out I wasn’t a huge fan of this or The Counselor because I thought they were overly preachy. but I like both better now after rewatches.

I had watched the first series of Into the Night sometime last year, but had completely forgot it existed and couldn't remember shit about it. Think I watched it when I was sick one weekend and barely awake. Gave it a second chance since I saw there was a new season. Really liked it.
As this is a Netflix thread, I'm assuming you've seen Echo in the Valley. There's a good one on Muscle Shoals on Hulu, and also the Paul McCartney series on Hulu.
I have seen Echo in the Canyon, and the McCartney/Rick Rubin thing on Hulu, but I have not seen the Muscle Shoals one. Thanks for the heads up
I don't think it's on Hulu. I remember it being on Netflix when it came out for a bit, but I couldn't find it when I just looked unless it's different than the Muscle Shoals doc that came out in like 2012 or 2013. My dad grew up in the Muscle Shoals area and at one point lived really close to Muscle Shoals Gold. He loved it.
Netflix has a Skynyrd doc that I plan on watching, but I know Muscle Shoals was much more than just Skynyrd
I thought it was Hulu. I know I streamed for free. It could have also been through a public library app like Hooplah. Speaking of which, I streamed Dave Grohl's Sound City through the library. It's excellant no matter what you think of Dave or the Foo Fighters. Same goes for the Sonic Highways series. I happen to be a Foos fan, but the look at each respective city's unique music scene, and its social impact was really well done. If you don't like FF, just skip the song at the end of each episode.
It's extremely well done. Didn't take long for me to like him. Once he said he dove into hockey reference and did research I was all in. Like 95% of this board would have done the same thing at the same age. Tagging you both because I need some clarity. The muscle guy that ran the bar, their main instigator. He suffered that nasty injury where his leg was pointing the wrong way and he was screaming. I don't know the details but I can tell you I looked away and did not watch because that shit hurts my soul. That said, I would have liked some more information on that. How the fuck was he back on the ice the same season? Also Mike Rupp signing killed me.
it was not the same season, it’s over a two year span and they took liberties with the timing of how everything happened. Mike Rupp actually played in their first season something like 20 games. Beauregard which is an incredible story, only player like 30 games for them and only in their second season. the injury occurred in the first season and the fight happened in the second season Beauregard is such a big time story but they did not touch on it too much in the doc, that guy was primed for an nhl career until he lost an eye. He was so good, and he still was able to be paid for a long time playing hockey with just one eye.
Yeah, that's what hooked me on the kid, going out and finding him. Granted, stacked deck and all, but still awesome. Thanks for clarifying that two season piece. Makes much more sense now.
And hilariously enough, I played minor hockey against a few guys that played for that team. j-m Daoust who was a hell of a player played a year or two there. You don’t see them in the doc but I went to hockey db to see what their team was like. The hockey world is small
he was very good at it too, he found some gems. When I started to look at their roster and seeing a few guys I knew made me gain respect. He absolutely killed it
definitely, but it doesn’t work all the time. For a kid he did very well. It’s also a different dynamic since it’s a developmental league. It’s hard to find superstars because they will go up if they are too good. He found some very good guys that had no chance of going up anymore but were very good players in that league. Plus he gooned it up. In that league at the time it’s a perfect recipe for success
He seems like a humbled just genuinely nice/happy person these days. Having WWF superstars like The Rock and DX at your fucking kids birthday party was quite a flex of power/money by Papa Galante. I also loved the name Trashers for that team.
Anybody else like World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals? Mrs. TC and I liked S1 and we just binged S2 that came out this week
