https://www.saintgeorgeonline.org/food-festival Middle Eastern Food Festival is this weekend. If you've never been, I promise it's worth visiting.
That's not a bad area, per se, but you don't want to get too far into Fountain Heights at night. Everything west of 65 from downtown is going to be First 48 territory. The Tutwiler has somewhat recently been redone, and isn't a bad hotel at all. It's pretty much a Hampton Inn. Redmont is a higher end Hilton property now. Both are situated pretty well for the Civil Rights trail through downtown. Linn Park, which is behind the Tutwiler, is loaded with homeless people, but they're pretty harmless and mostly go to the nearby shelter at night.
from what i've seen on twitter, it's considered to be an incredible lineup for that genre (of which i am admittedly not a fan, but good for them!) i enjoyed the people watching at mom's last night
get ready to re-live the magical myspace scene years. re-gauge your ears, slap on your skinniest jeans, and dye some blonde streaks in your hair. it's time to mosh hXc unless you were a normie, you can go back to the mall and shop A&F with the other phonies
I almost got into a wreck earlier near pepper place bc a metallic green Volkswagen bug decided to come to a complete stop and rip a u turn in the middle of the road. It was some girl with purple hair that I’m assuming was hunting for parking
About to head down for a show. Had to pay $300+ for a Hampton Inn and there are no dinner reservations available anywhere good. Oh well.
Plane from Denver last night was unusually loaded with tatted and pierced folks. Makes way more sense now.
Anyone have moving recs? Short move (~4 blocks, but down a big ass hill), Flemming stood me up yesterday for an appointment. Have called around for quotes, only one person called me back. Has to happen first full week +2nd weekend of October. We were planning on moving stuff ahead of time in our van, but just interested in general moving services for big items.
Will always recommend All My Sons. Wasn't the cheapest but they fit me in on less than 24 hours notice after those fuckers at Bellhops told me I didn't have a reservation on the day before I had to be out of my house.
No. Just drove down for show and back home early this morning. I am glad Zydeco has a competitor now. That place blows.
Where did you see this? Looks like he canceled Furnace Fest too. Was thinking about going up there tonight but he's not on the schedule anymore.
Love Saturn. I saw Earthgang and Kamasi Washington there. They make a really good Old Fashioned also.
Im assuming they are going to put more multi family residential units there with a coffee shop on the main floor
I used to love J. Clyde, but in the 200 or so times I went there, they never once got my order completely right.
Has anyone successfully eaten at Slimms yet? Tried to go last night and it was take out only and an hour and a half wait at 6:30.
I've been twice and loved it. My buddy I have been with before said yesterday was a total shit show. He showed up to eat, they said online only and wouldn't even take a to go order for him. He was told he had to go online and order. He probably won't be back. I do feel like every time I order Davenports is a 2 hour wait as well.
seeing Phoebe Bridgers at Avondale tonight. anybody going? Also, to those that have seen a concert there, is any of it covered? Expecting rain and not sure if they will cancel or not.
