Darby Allin feuding with Black for a while sounds good to me. With an eventual heel turn on Sting and becoming a badass dark ass tag team with Black.
Also, as someone who is just getting back in full time, do we think they're going to dissolve the Dark Order? To me it almost seemed like they could/were potentially set up Anna Jay as the new leader. Since they were fighting during her match the last time. Idk. Would be a cool angle I think. But not sure if it would really work.
This is actually a big piece of the puzzle I'm missing. Is there a good primer somewhere to see what happened between Page/Omega/The Bucks? I recall Page started drinking a lot and Kenny seemed to be losing his mind and the initial split from the Bucks. But I guess I missed the evental Page/Omega split. Seems like I remember them leaving each other hanging/solo in the ring during some tag matches, while they were champs? And I remember them teasing Page and Dark Order.
Page was in The Elite Page and Kenny are tag team champs for over 6 months Page’s drinking and carelessness grate on the Bucks who try to kick him out of The Elite I think they did kick him out while they were still champs but he kept competing with Kenny until they lost them Then for a bit there was sad sack singles competitor Page who gets asked to join Dark Order but doesn’t want to because of his history with stables He starts to win again and I think quits drinking and Dark Order starts coming down to celebrate with him There was a big 10 man match with him and Dark Order versus Omega, Bucks, and Good Brothers and if Page’s team won they got a world and tag team championship opportunity Page’s team lost but he was the last man on his side Page gets beat down by Kenny and the Bucks to write him off in storyline for his paternity leave Since he’s been gone the Dark Order have started infighting
dont forget that as the elite became estranged due to his drinking, page started drinking with FTR and cost the Bucks a match against them on purpose
I'm really excited to see how that storyline develops with what they've done with the Dark Order since he left and now Adam Cole coming in to join The Elite
I am curious if they structure Kenny/Danielson after Joe/Punk. The first Joe/Punk was a 60 minute draw. Everyone knew the next match was going long, and they did another hour draw. They announced the third match would be held with no time limit, so everyone figured it would go 60+ and instead they just killed one another for 30 minutes. I could see this happening here.
Yes because I remember seeing that. Like right when he and Kenny won the titles and there started to be friction they handed him a pamphlet and started talking to him backstage.
think they should do another draw and then in the third match have it be blown apart by interference or something which propels Danielson is another direction. Let who is best simmer for a lot longer. Could then hopefully have hangman come back and get the title off of Kenny. It won’t mean as much if Danielson beats Kenny then Hangman beats Kenny
What's weird is it looked like he finally made it around the post and only then fell over. Afterward he was at rightside, leaning forward, mouth open, breathing heavy. I legit worried he was about to have a heartattack.
it was a weird spot that didn’t have an effect on the match. I wonder if it got messed up and they improvised some because of the botch
same. I’ve done a good job trying to avoid anything about it. Which is tough especially with Twitter and Reddit after Wednesday’s show. Stoked to see some good action.
AEW has so many stables it might as well just run trios matches and have a trios champ. Seems like everyone is in some type of stable.
yeah Reddit was full of spoilers after dynamite but I managed to only see CM punks new gear. That’s all the spoilers I got so I guess I’ll consider that a win.
Look his own theme song is cool and all but walls of Jericho or whatever it's called is still an all time great entrance song and I want it back
I think they should just do a trios tournament. Could run some interesting storylines and some oddball teams.
Also here's TNT's promotional poster for the trios match tonight. Could not be better. You gotta look carefully but all three of the Super Kliq opponents are there
Which guy are you referring to? Think aew had a lot of acts high on their card that were kind of embarrassing before, the roster has boomed lately and I hardly think that's a valid criticism anymore, especially not with those guys (unless you mean the dinosaur mask which is goofy, but he's a big dude at least)
I mean I get it (if he's talking about Cole), that body type doesn't exactly scream top guy, but he's got the face/persona/ability of a star so it doesn't really matter imo
Yes, I mean Cole. My suspension of disbelief ends at "I'm 99% sure I could kick this guys ass with relative ease". With a guy like Danielson, I don't necessarily feel that way because he actually seems to have some athletic ability. Cole is like a smaller Punk to me. Both guys scream "I went into wrestling because I have no athletic talent".
