To borrow a phrase from Gen Z it just reeks of cheugy but yeah I've watched quite a few of the episodes.
Did not, but will check it out. I was awake from 1215AM through 530AM this morning and I turned on the Design network for a mindless time. They had some AirBNB tiny home showcase. It was quite good. I wasn't even aware the channel existed yesterday.
How is it cheugy. There were episodes on eco-friendly rentals, community service based rentals, haunted house rentals. Did Gen Z cancel these things??
Not the actual rentals...the production of it. It just is all about....hey, if you want to look cool and share it on social media, do this! or go to this type of place!
It's definitely that, but I thought folks younger than us were into that too. It's funny how on the eco-friendly episode they care about eco-friendly, then next episode they're back to not caring at all haha
Yep, and I'm not saying it's terrible. It's interesting for the actual places. I'm just jaded on the people, in particular the guy, Luis. You may not be aware of it but previously he was a broker on Million Dollar Listing NY and he was annoying on that. Just super emotional at all times about everything.
Never saw MDLNY, this was my first Luis experience. I can tell that he's about closing high-end deals, so that makes him a bit of a fuck by definition. I liked him though. The most chill and rational of the bunch. I like how he always goes for the bedroom that has the best view/experience instead of what's most "luxurious." Jo is solid, down the middle. Megan I enjoy making fun of, and she's hot.
@ User 1 the budget for that show must be pretty hefty. I'm guessing all the vacation rentals are comped for promotion purposes. But the producers seem to not give a fuck if they want to fly from Anguilla to Finland to California to wherever.
And you know tv people love her, because depending on the day/angle she can pass for pretty much any ethnicity. Her family is from the Philippines, not that I researched her
Yeah there's no way they pay for any of the actual rentals. Those places are basically getting a free 10 min commercial on Netflix so easy trade off for them.
not sure if it's a netflix movie but i just watched The Kid Detective not sure how i feel after just watching this but i highly recommend it. it's way better than the title.
I watched the first 1 minute where it explains the game and turned it off. but yea the trailer did look good so I’ll probably give it another shot. I watched Brand New Cherry Flavor instead and it was fucking awesome
There's an older British show on Netflish called Paranoid that's pretty decent. Only 1 series/season (8 episodes), but it's a good story. Broadchurch vibes
I grabbed the 1st season but haven't watched it yet. A lot pf people on the twitter were excited for the new season so I figured I'd give it a shot.
it’s really an excellent tv show. Hits on a lot of subjects without being preachy. Most of the characters are very likable.
If you liked that you'll love the Smithsonian channel's Aerial America. It's just overhead drone footage with a voiceover of the historical events of whatever area is being shown
On a completely different type of show, Love on the Spectrum is about adults with autism trying to find love, and it’s legitimately one of the more uplifting shows I’ve watched. The people on the show are better people than 99.9% of the rest of the world.
My old lady asks me all the time to start a new show with her. "Yeah sure babe. Things that'll never happen for $1000, Alex" 99.9999 of the time we cheat on each other and get 1 - 2 episodes ahead and keep going "We saw this already" NO WE FUCKING DIDN'T YOU FUCKING CHEATING ASS BITCH. This relationship isn't working. We are now separating. I'm keeping the dog.
Squid Game is amazing. If you liked Alice in Borderland you will probably love it. Anyone watch Midnight Mass?
