Not sure where else to post this. Not a podcast, but it doesn't need a new thread. "9/11: One Day in America" is a documentary on NatGeo channel. First episode was last night. I think there are six episodes, with two more of them tonight at 9pm EDT. Really goes into detail with tons of camera footage and interviews with several survivors. Very compelling imo.
Im about halfway through it. It's really good also - https://www.the-mainboard.com/index...lutions-podcasts.120559/page-15#post-16939375
I can't imagine the patience it takes to do long-form topics in the way that he does them. Like, it took 25+ hours just to get to 1917 in the current season (Bolshevik Revolution)
The last two Dark Net Diaries eps are nuts. 2 part series involving Israeli iPhone malware and Ronan Farrow
Bad Blood: The Final Chapter is really good. It's the author of the book Bad Blood. The podcasts is following the trial of Elizabeth Holmes. She's an incredible sociopath.
This is Actually Happening most recent ep is the senior ER doc from the hospital nearest to the towers on 9/11. For those unfamiliar with the format of that pod, it’s just a person telling a story with no host the entire time. I try to avoid 9/11 stuff for the most part anymore but this is really good.
Suspect is pretty good. Fucked up, all too common story of unfair treatment by the justice system. Ep 7 has an interview with a piece of shit juror that would be a welcome addition to the FAAFO thread.
Firebug has taken kind of a bizarre turn. John Orr went from weirdo career arsonist to complete psychopath in the span of about an hour
You could’ve just watched the classic HBO film Point of Origin, starring Ray Liotta and John Leguizamo
Possible. He said he’s not leaving Earwolf. Maybe they are just having a separate archive instead of SP
It’s a Patreon. All of the Old CBBs and turtles show. New show about Scott’s movie blind spots with Sprague and another show that he’s announcing next week. Weekly CBB will stay the same.
I do for The Flagrant Ones, Hollywood Handbook, Hollywood Masterclass, and Carl Calls His Cousin combo
I seem to be in the minority that likes stitcher. Premium is like five bucks and I routinely listen to the old/live CBBs. Not sure what to think of cbb world.
New Wondery podcast called Suspect and it's pretty good. They've released 4 eps, and I listened to 3. It's definitely worth discussing.
I did the free trial and finished it. I’ll let you or anyone else lead the discussion since I have the whole thing finished. I try and stay away from looking ahead into cases as to not spoil the podcast when possible.
This thing is disgusting. I knew what to expect, but hearing it come out of these people’s mouths is just gross.
Has anyone listened to Firebug? It's really good. It's one crazy ass story. Finished it. Thought it was really good. Agree with what you said about the POS juror. Spoiler What a sad and shitty situation all around. You feel awful for all parties involved -- except maybe Cameron. That said, if I'm a jury member, I don't think there's enough evidence to convict any of the potential suspects, including Cameron. At least from the information we got in the pod. Also, I think trace DNA should only really be used to prove someone was NOT at the scene of a crime, it gets passed way too easily to prove someone committed a crime.
Firebug was entertaining enough, but for some reason the host’s voice gets on my nerves. It’s really more his affect than the voice itself.
The whole thing is so bizarre. Obviously justice should be served, but I also selfishly want answers as to who and why. There’s no clear reason why someone did that to her. Random intoxicated rage? Lust and obsession? A total psychopath killer just happened upon the spot?
I think I mentioned it already but the girl who recorded the principal plays volleyball at Kentucky and her mom was the villain in the original power Rangers.
I feel like the narrators voice just keeps getting more and more annoying. It’s also painful to listen to the NBC producer lady talk about how big of a gullible dumbass she was. I haven’t finished it, but it’s certainly not as good as year 1
Enjoying The Dropout: Elizabeth Holmes on trial First 6 episodes were from 2019, new episodes are about the trial.
Is there a podcast that goes episode by episode through dragon ball z? Because that’s the inane shit I need
