Wasn't big on the Hot Wheels physical cars, but I loved the game on Playstation. Is it anything like that? I was looking at it on the PS store and they only had one video that was "non-game footage".

I have it pulled up at work. Not really watching until I get downtime, but adding a viewer. I also went to subscribe and realized I already have...and hit the bell.

Sounds like you have great taste :beerchug:.
I didn't feel like taking the time to beat it on the highest difficulty, because I feel like the enemies would be way too spongy. The 2nd hardest was more than hard enough for me. Once you finish it on any difficulty there's a workaround for the highest difficulty trophy. I did it because I hate difficulty trophies that make you replay a game on a difficulty that was locked the fir Make a separate save after the last boss, and then start a new game on the highest difficulty. Play it until you pick up the first little rot creature (less than 5 minutes in), then pause and load your save from the completed game. Go through the credits and then it pops

I streamed for a few nights while playing jack-in-the-box w family bc that was the only way I could figure out how to stream. I had several random join us in a short 1 hour game. That could be a good option when trying to add subscribers. I never though if trying to make money from gaming. But I do it a lot(game). My personality is a bit too dry and not really exciting for people to follow. It sounds like a good excuse to game a lot.

I play video games a ton. I feel like CUtigers games even more/better than me. Why don’t you have a twitch?

Yeah Jack Box or trivia in general would be a great way to go once you know you'd have a few people for sure in chat, then drop-ins could add to the fun

It was actually annoying because people kept joining and my family was too slow. It was fun to play some of the games with strangers though. I forget what it's called, but it's something like "find the alien".

    Ok, more market research:
    What makes you watch/follow/subscribe to a channel/streamer?
Is it the game they play, the community, the streamer themselves?

Community building is my big thing right now, trying to get as many eyes on the channel as possible.
I feel like I'm doing a decent job engaging with people when they come in the chat, its just a matter of getting people in there.
Yesterday was great because I had a few people engaging and being active in chat, and its helping me find the balance between playing the game and talking with the viewers.

I find a streamer based on whatever game I want to learn more about. If I like the game and the streamer, I may watch again. I don't really watch Twitch much. I mostyl watch YouTube's of people going through beginner things to know about a game. Sometimes if they're not too over the top, or give out good info in an efficient manner, will watch a few more videos.
I don't care about the community at all.
I imagine the chat makes it easier to engage with the viewers instead of you just making stuff up off the top of your head.

thanks dude, yeah having chatters really makes it easier to interact and have something to say. Some streamers don't talk much to chat, some do it all the time.
BlazingRebel has told me to check the chat constantly, and that it isn't really about the game as much as it is about the performance for the people in the channel.

I find it tough to see a common thread in the popular streamers, which seems logical because one thing doesn't work for everyone.
Like Shroud, one of the biggest stars on the platform, doesn't talk a lot during his streams and doesn't have a crazy camera or setup, but he has 10 million followers.
Thus, I attempt to gather info and make sense of it all lol.

I honestly never pay attention to chat. I usually choose a streamer based off a specific game, but stick around streamers based on their personality. I enjoy funny streamers, don’t really care if they’re great at the game or not.

I should participate more in chat cause I’ve joined their discords, and I need more people to play PC with, but twitch chat annoys me, lol. Too many weirdos.

I only got started on twitch watching Warzone and I really don’t play any other games. So I just watch Warzone streamers. I watch a few of the top players and then a couple other people that are good at the game but have enjoyable personalities and engagement. I never chat though.

The game choice rarely factors to me at all some of my favorite streamers in my communities are fortnite and COD two games I don't care for, but the streamer's personality gets them the follow or sub as well as how the engage their viewers. I know some streamers that are SSL in Rocket League the highest rank and they have 10 followers being a God at the game doesn't = success. To succeed at Twitch you networking and using all the social media's to your advantage is how you grow.

I second some of this. The first couple guys I started watching play Warzone all had other avenues of content around that. Two were funny on TikTok and the other did more tactics breakdowns of how he was playing. So their interaction drew me in. Since then with schedule changes I’ve followed some others that are just really good at the game which is also fun to watch how they go about it, but good engagement is key.

I'm completely opposite. I only really watch someone if they are covering a game I'm interested in. 90% of the people I follow cover Destiny, like 2 Battlefield guys, and then a few like Skill Up that cover a wide variety of things.

That is why I've been putting in a lot work on working on mechanics because my growth outside of my communities has stalled hard. Going from 1.3k to 1.4k followers had been a month long battle because I'm not pushing for followers as much anymore I'm looking for consistent viewers, follower numbers only matter now when I'm applying for content creator and sponsorship opportunities.

Streaming I've had to fall back on the last few weeks because of life and other shit, but I try to stream at least 3-4 hours a day if I can.
Networking and being in other people's streams if I'm home I have usually 8 different streams up at a minimum all day long lurking and leave up a bunch of channels with the monitors off when I go to sleep plus an autorefresher on my browser so my view counts. Actually engaging in streamer's chats or discords probably 4-6 hours a day
I try to add something new to my stream or improve my channel or social medias at least once a day.
It truly is a full-time job to make this work

Honestly when I think about it I’d probably flip GOW and Bioshock. As amazing as Bioshock is, the second half and the finale kinda pale in comparison to the first half of the game. GoW builds to a criscendo and leaves you satisfied in ways that not many outlets wrt media can. It’s beautiful

I also think that there’s disconnect here when it comes to games and the generations that played them. I feel like the Xbox 360/PS3 era of gaming really gave me some incredible moments but my memories will always resonate with games like Ocarina of Time, FF6/7 and Half Life 2. I think it’s hard to explain the feeling you had with those games when this generation is capable of so much more

It’s crazy because you kind of ride the high of the middle game until the end. It’s almost necessary to include infinite when you consider the two. I may just have a bias that keeps me from putting infinite above the original

GOW may be higher for me if I had more time to put into it. And I won’t take anything away from it with my more limited main story experience.

but I hold bioshock higher. The underwater city is just soooo stunning and you get such a great feeling of the total environment. The sounds around you including the big daddy’s i the distance I can still hear. It’s perfect.

also bioshock is the first game I remember that really utilized the audio boxes to move the story along to such great effect. Maybe that and dead space?

so would you kindly end the debate and admit bioshock was better?
