For you Sopranos fans, Talking Sopranos is awesome. They review each episode in detail and talk other shit. NSFW.
It’s much more tongue in cheek but still goes episode by episode. I just couldn’t listen to Imperioli talk NY theater scene anymore.
Both of them namedrop too much. I’ve never been to NYC nor been around any sort of theater life or culture so their stories about the industry are pretty interesting to me.
The stories are good but at some point he goes a little deep for me. Sopranos is my favorite piece of art of the last 30 years so I love any insight into it which the pod provides but I decided to just rewatch the show again and listen to something that appreciates it for what it is, which is an absolutely hilarious look at modern life.
I think he’s authentic though. Obviously he is a dedicated student of acting, theater, and film. He just loves loves the art. So, yeah, he goes too deep sometimes and takes away from the theme of the pod. I, too, enjoy rewatching the show. The podcast informs me to aspects of it that, honestly, I didn’t pick up on in previous viewings. But, I certainly don’t need the podcast to completely enjoy the best television of my lifetime.
Also I still am enjoying it but not like season 1. There are too many names for me to keep track of without looking at some chart of the organization The disjointed timeline isnt helping either
I did. Current lineup of available podcasts: Affirmation Nation with Bob Duca CBB Presents CBB CBB Live tours Mike Detective Scott Hasn’t Seen Andy Daly Podcast Project Seth Morris Radio Project We Have To Stop Talkin TMNT On CBB
I feel like Scott has gotten worse lately about interrupting people from getting into their character’s background and feigning ignorance about every little thing they say. Still love everything CBB related though
i agree on the Lilly Sullivan ep Monday. Would have liked for her to have more opportunity to tell her own story. I like her appearances.
Lilly Sullivan came on strong in her first appearance but I think she's not so good. She's attached to Baltz so probably gets a bit more run.
Mike Duncan (Revolutions) was on Chris Hayes's Why is This Happening pod talking about his book. I enjoyed it
Listened to this episode after that post. I feel like he gave her plenty of room, and she was great as usual.
I love when he does it with Ego & Will Hines, but he tries to bring that energy with other guests sometimes and its kinda frustrating at times
Just finished this weeks CBB. The fact that The Boys will be on Scott Hasn’t Seen reviewing the new Space Jam is enough content to pay for at least a month
Good darknet diaries this week. I feel like that guy has a movie script if he lets some writers get creative.
New Cult podcast called Revelations. It’s #2 most popular pod on Spotify. Don’t know anything abt it or the cult and I’m going into the pod blind. It’s good so far.
Fat Leonard is interesting 2 episodes in It's about a guy who bribed corrupt navy officials in exchange for govt contracts
Hardcore History Tides of History Revolutions Fall of Civilizations History Unplugged History of Rome The Ancients The Iron Dice History Author Show Inward Empire
The Ancients is good. The Iron Dice is by the 3 arrows guy on YT. It's a leftist history of the Wiemar Republic. Wish he published more often History Author Show is hit or miss depending on the topic Inward Empire - also good but too infrequent.
If you’re looking for a good irregular movie podcast, a local guy has been doing one for over 9 years and it’s a fun listen. He’s a super good dude, and I also enjoy supporting him, it’s called The Dana Buckler Show.
I'm trying to figure out what they mean about the opposing perspective. Like, friendly to Nazis, or friendly to Holocaust deniers? I get it's basically the same, just curious.
