And I can live with it a little bit, but they didn't even try in that one. And ref looked lost as hell. Would start counting guys, then stop, didn't know what to do
Lmfao I had no idea those guys were outside the ring I thought Darby had just had enough and was ending it on live TV for a second
So are they going to keep the TNT championship on TBS? I mean I get their both Turner. The corporate branded title is kinda my least favorite thing in AEW tbh. Also is the move to TBS good or bad or just lateral? I may have asked this before, I know someone ITT told me they were going to run the Super shows on TNT.
Is the FTW title an AEW or another promotion? That's the only time I've seen anyone actually talk about it
The move to TBS shouldn’t change ratings either way. But they should absolutely change the name of the TNT belt, and not to TBS.
Glad I was wrong about Page, but also I thought he was about to kill Pac after Pac almost killed Andrade. Both those spots were insane.
i hated that spot with pac, that was insanely dangerous. The Andrade spot was painful but the pac spot was dangerous
Rampage will still be on TNT and, as mentioned, four supershows will air on TNT as well. Great show tonight. It's crazy how much they packed into a two hour broadcast. Much better crowd than last week, too.
just got home. that was an insane experience. had so much fun I can only imagine what that ticket was worth on the secondary market. legitimately had to stay alert during that ladder match. had the ref come over twice to check if were ok. the bumps those guys take are brutal. new appreciation seeing it up close like that.
Glad you got to be there. I just checked: The $100 ticket I paid for great seats to Full Gear are now going for $500. Ringside floor seats are a cool $1000. People are ready to see Hangman win the belt. He was basically the first test for AEW's "rotate guys out and back as needed" philosophy. Other guys like Pac pop in once a month or so, with the occasional promo or vignette happening here and there in between, but Hangman was the first major star to completely disappear for a full two months. That pop was tremendous when his music hit.
one last thing about last night - everyone in that company is just having the time of their lives. never seen so many people just having fun. Ref Aubrey especially is so awesome.
They need to either get security more involved or Mox needs to stay his ass in the ring. Several times fans were way too close to the action and on a couple of occasions with him and Archer they were dangerously close to a small child doing their shit. Somebody is going to get hurt.
Says a lot about how well they've developed his character that he could return as the Joker, instead of some new signing or debut, and the crowd gave him the biggest pop of the night. He's come a LONG way from being the generic midcarder that wrestled Jericho for the first AEW title.
Him beating Omega for title is going to be an absolute huge moment. Wonder when they pull the trigger on it
I have a question that I think I know the answer to, but it's worth a shot. is there a way to get AEW merch other than in the arena? my buddy that brought me last night wanted a Bryan Danielson shirt but they didn't have any in his size. would love to send him one as a thank you if possible.
I assumed it wasn't this easy since he seemed so bummed out about it last night, but thanks. even if it's not the exact one he wanted, it's still something.
Might be time to actually do something with Punk other than the aw shucks it's so good to be back promo.
Punk is way too smart/self-aware not to be playing with the crowds. It's almost like he's coming out and asking "am I a heel yet? No? Okay, let me know when..." When it happens the old Punk will be back. Until then, he's just riding the wave.
I can see why they do it, man was away for 7 years and has tons of fans across these cities. But they should probably transition to doing those promos off camera after the show for the fans unless the promo is going to be story related. The at home fans are getting tired of it even if the live ones are happy.
Punk’s promos annoy me, but I appreciate him working guys like Hobbs and Garcia on a show like Rampage.
GCW is blowing up the indy scene right now.. Setting up a Mox/Gage/Cardona triple threat soon. Mick Foley showed up to do commentary tonight. Psycho Clown will be at their LA show in a two weeks. Also Alex Zayne/Ari Starling is on his way to being the new indy "it" guy.
