im sure they talked with them. I’d also assume they had some information related to happenings for something that occurred in the EU. If he truly is a psychopath they have something on him in the EU.
SC Have you heard of this 16 year old Reese Brantmeier? Watching her qualification match against Katie Boulter. Could be another great one. Shes made some unreal shots
I see she won the Juiniors Doubles US OPen this year. Shes got some pop to her serve and shes not making many errors at all right now. She did have a chance to serve for the 1st set and got a little shaky but I like what I see
If it’s the same girl I’m thinking of, she won the 16’s US Natty a couple years back. She can really play. Think she wanted/wants to go play college.
Reese wins! I hope she can make it through Qualifying. I would love to see her against some big name competition
Maddie playing good. Her not hitting errors is good to see. Kanepi looks like a player ranked outside the Top 500 with the Unforced Errors Ive seen
I always find it funny when the electronic hawk eye is so far wrong. Got to be so annoying to the players
When you're a middle of the pack player (Madison Brengle) and you have to play Hsieh, its got to be so frustrating. Watched the entire match so far, she literally makes Brengle go side to side on every point.
The lack of crowds on some courts are so weird. Coco and Leylah was packed, so there are people there.
I was going to ask this, almost everything I’ve seen has been dead. Glad at least one court was packed.
They put it out on Court 8 and it was too small for the amount of fans, while the bigger courts were empty as hell. I love Indian Wells, but it has been a quiet start. Just feels…different, in a negative way.
Sports over no sports obviously but fuck did I miss fans. I wasn’t sure if California had some covid restrictions in place but didn’t think they did because I watched packed house baseball. Hope they get some good crowds.
I wonder if the timing of the event is that big of a deal. March usually with the Snow Birds in the area. Plus the season is basically over and alot of names not there. That time in March, a month after the Australian Open, its almost like the start of the season. The whole January is like the pre party
If there’s no one for the night session tomorrow that has Emma and Andy B2B on Stadium 1, we might have some real issues.
Not at all surprised by that result - it'll probably take her a couple of tournaments to come down from the US high. Whereas Leylah possibly still had some agro from losing, and she won her first match pretty well.
I am surprised Leylah is still playing this high of a level. Beating Pavs last night after losing the 1st set is very impressive
Also going to get a Quarterfinal Doubles matchup of Leylah/Coco vs. Swiatek/Mattek Sands. That will be amazing to watch
Ive never seen someone beat the living dogshit out of Svitolina like Pegula is doing right now. Its insane
