Awesome fight. This is old school Heavyweight boxing. 5 knockdowns. Tough ass dudes. Great ending to an awesome sports day. Best of the year so far.
Anyone wanting to watch the post flight and needing a good stream http://1m.freestreams-live1.com/Box/?sport=boxing
Damn, respect to both. They were gassed by the 4th and kept going. Idk how Fury came back from 2 knockdowns. That long count sucked but props to him.
hey we split 1-1 not bad at all couldn’t ask for more in reality……if we had $120 million more in the payroll to match y’all I would expect more we are playing with house money :)
I'll always Furys religious shit when he's a bigoted asshole Random but did you make it to any of the Tampa fights in mid 2000s? Lacy, Tarver, Winky Wright were 10 years too early for Tampa
My dad and I went to a Lacy and a Tarver fight. My dad loves boxing and is why I love it. We got 5-6 PPV fights a year from 89-2003. He texts me about boxing fights that are on TV every 3-4 weeks.
It's going to be a while before we see Wilder back in the ring, if ever. The last 2 fights were two absolute beatings that I'm not sure you really recover from.
That’s why I said I wanted to see him fight a couple money fights before this. I really like Wilder and his story. Unfortunately, he can’t “box”.
AJ looks likes Myles Garret with his shirt off. But despite what Rocky and Creed portray, having good abs and biceps doesn't mean you can fight.
What a god damn entertaining fight. I know that wilder ran through that division until he fought Fury with just throwing right hands through temples but I will forever be amazed at how someone with that power could never get slick with just a little bit of defense and pick up an average jab. Hats off to him tho. Fury is just far superior at the sport.
Nice, I vaguely remember the hype for the Lacy-Robin Reid fight then seeing in the newspaper in 06 when Calzaghe just straight embarrassed him in Wales.
good effort by Fury w Walking in Vegas but nothing tops American Pie last February, last big time sporting even before Covid
His brother Wladimir, had the glass jaw. But sometimes a guy who is 227 pounds, and has trained his whole life to hit people in the jaw, connects and that makes your brain stop. Only in boxing does that make you "soft."
I'm a Wilder fan , let me get that out of the way. Just finished watching the fight . Fury Wilder as a trilogy is worthy of some of the epic heavyweight series. Not as good as the best obviously, but definitely a classic. Boxing doesn’t get much respect any more, but this trilogy was awesome. Wilder in the 10th was out on his feet and then rallied at the end to hit Fury with some big punches. Amazing heart from Wilder. Ultimately Fury is just too big for Wilder. Wilder is giving up like 40 pounds and 2 inches. Fury was able to just lean on him all night and wear him down. Also Fury is a better boxer and smarter boxer. Fury's inside work was better. Didn’t give Wilder that many chances later in the fight to attack him from a distance. Wilder is still one of the best knockout punchers I’ve seen from a heavyweight. Probably in the top 25 all time. But again it is difficult to beat a guy that is that much bigger than you.As far as Fury goes as an all timer, he’s got to be in the mix for top 25 top 30ish. The problem is , other than Wilder, he hasn’t fought anyone. He should’ve fought AJ. Maybe they can still make that happen. But a dude that is 6’9 260-280 that can feint and jab like him, that is nuts. He has amazing power as well. And he is a smart boxer. Also Wilder stopped blocking punches like half way through the fight and just took all of them. He was just absolutely exhausted. It is just impossible for him to fight a guy that much bigger than him when that guy is putting all his weight on him and grappling with him throughout the fight.
