i watched 10 minutes of it and it was awful. They had no idea what was going on, did not know the name of the players. Incredible that these guys do this professionally. and the referees were also awful for that little part, missing a clear late hit on diggs. I did not see the evans targeting but everybody seems to think it was an awful call, saw that clipping call that was not clipping

maybe they were frustrated with some dirty plays that did not get called. Refs were awful this game but all the bad calls seemed to go one way
It was one of the more obvious ref shit fests I’ve seen live. Normally it’s hard to tell if it’s my own bias or if we’re actually getting, tonight was clear.

It was wild but the oline looked so much better with Corell out. I was thinking this morning that mustifer would have looked like shit at og too. So maybe the kid is a pure center
Some things you may have missed: Buchner also provides a dimension we haven’t seen. Kid played real well despite his picks. The threat of a running web makes a huge difference. He also had some fine throws. Coan is an enigma. Completely ineffective to start the game but absolutely clutch in the final two drives. The 2 min offense is his bread and butter. Why we don’t give him more quick throws is beyond me. Also, the RBs were damn good all night.
We are going to put this all together and just blast somebody soon. We will then lose the next week. I feel it in my bones.
I thought Buchner was feast or famine. He did some amazing things, but also threw two other easy picks that were dropped. One of which likely another pick 6. He was more advanced in his decision making (other than the actual pick 6) and release than I expected, but he also has some severe accuracy problems right now.

It’s big to go on the road and win after losing to cincy the way they did, especially after how this game started very similarly. fuck the refs were terrible love cam harts ints but his tackling in space last night was rough. Ok just rewatched. We need Buchner to start going forward with coan to come in as a reliever. Buchner is going to be a menace when he is a pass threat and can scramble. Defense looks worn down and I can’t blame them there has been a lot on their shoulders so far perfect time for a bye week. how many games would you say we win this year if I told you we were going to be down - our starting qb (because of suckiness), 1-b rb, starting wr (keys was starting in the start of fall), 3 Lts, one lg (because of suckiness), top 2 tes (including one who may be the best player in cfb), 2nd string rb.
I want to say that with two weeks prep time where he knows he'll be starting, Mayer back as a safety blanket, home field vs. a brutal road environment, etc. his off-target lasers will at least settle down to go from horrible accuracy to mediocre accuracy. But we'll see.

So LSU is 3-3 and ends the season with 5 of their last 6 games against ranked opponents. 5-7 or so is definitely on the table. Is that 5 star QB visiting for USC?
Hendrix and Buchner are not that similar in my opinion. Hendrix couldn’t throw, period. Buchner is a smoother runner and better thrower, despite having missed a full year of football and being a true frosh. Yeah, both use their legs as their primary option. But that’s about the extent of their similarities.
i agree, I think we all mean that they look the same when playing football, their abilities are different.

it’s something really, as a coach to have the nerve to write something like that is pretty telling. maybe if they focused a little bit more on what they are not they could actually do their job and fix the issues…but nope, let’s put our head in the sand and tap ourselves on the back for the few aspects of this football team that are kind of functional.
