Really hoping UK wins the SEC Dump has repeatedly had his time to shine but we all know A&M never will win the SEC Need to see the shawnflower bloom
Midway through the season seems a little early to start reaching back for quotes. As a Georgia fan, I'd expect you to understand why.
Actually, as uga fans we know it will come crashing down any minute, so better live it up while we are on top. Gotta enjoy the present because the future is a cruel world.
To be fair, you qualified your statement with the words “at this point in the season” and that’s terminology that the BKN doesn’t comprehend.
Seriously. They are a complete team and none of the usual candidates are the types of obstacles they were in years past. Clemson is out of the picture. Bama is vulnerable. OU is absolutely begging to lose week in and week out. OSU isn't up to snuff. The CFP are going to wind up including teams like Cincinnati and Iowa. If it doesn't happen this year, I just can't see it happening any time soon.
I think Ohio State may be their biggest threat, but I’m also not confident they run the table from here.
And Ohio State probably beats them 8/10 times. Their defense has a lot of the same issues ours does, but they’re markedly better at WR and OL than we are.
you and Ohio State, but Ohio has the perimeter talent to give us issues. Scary good. The problem for them is will their OL be up to the challenge we would present + their defensive front 7 is soft. Like, embarrassingly bad.
As long as Kirby keeps stacking five stars on top of five stars, this isn’t a logical statement. We may win it this year. But if we don’t, we may win it next. Or the year after that. Etc. We aren’t just going away as long as the recruiting holds.
Yeah, Olave, Wilson, and JSN are all major problems. We only have one of those guys right now, and he came from OSU
There are very, very few years where you get the benefit of the combination of being stacked AND having the usual players being on a down year. It will never set up as favorably for UGA as it does this year. Since we're dealing with a bunch of 18-22 year old kids I'd never say it's impossible, but until he proves otherwise I don't know that I would give Kirby the benefit of the doubt when playing against programs with comparable/equal talent. And to head off anyone having a fit about that, there is nothing wrong with out-talenting other teams. This is the year he's best set up to do it.
This is such a snapshot in time statement. You wouldn’t have even made this claim 36 hours ago when Bama looked equally as unbeatable. UGA will continue to have top 5 talent into perpetuity. Randomness and luck will ultimately help determine if we can break through and win a title.
Not true. Bama's game against UF was pretty big red flag. This is not a year I expected Florida to be a serious contender even before the season started because of too many issues (QB being a huge one). Florida's OL has been playing surprisingly well given that it's mostly the same stiffs who couldn't run block for shit last year. That Florida pretty much ran at will against Bama's defense was a bad sign for Bama.
Lol you are acting like all the stars are aligning for Georgia when in reality we have had all these injuries and shit going wrong for us… Daniels out and who the fuck knows when and if he returns, our top 4 receivers hurt, Arik Gilbert may never play a down, Tykee Smith hasn’t played at all and we have walk on starting at safety… We have been hit harder by injuries than anyone but our defensive front 7 is so damn good that Mailman to Mckonkey still may outscore everyone
should the assumption be "expect to be serious contender" =/= you thought UF could win the East because otherwise this post could get ugly for you
Ok, but I think we are talking about winning a division over a top 5 team, which would prove you are legit contenders.
