he'll be fine. he's lucky this is going so bad, so quickly. it will only set him back one year instead of three.
I really enjoy the fact that dbl's argument that the Jags are the worst franchise is predicated on when HE started rooting for the Jags about a decade ago
Oh my god dbl The NFC north has 3 teams that fucking LOATHE each other. The packers fucking hate the bears who fucking hate the packers who fucking can’t stand the Vikings. Every team just despises the other. The only damn thing all 3 agree on is they feel sorry for the Lions. Like, I openly root for them in every game that isn’t against the Packers or actively could make us miss the playoffs. You simply don’t get divisional rivals that feel that way but the Lions have been so god damn awful forever that is how the fan bases within the division feel for them.
I don't think he's trying to save his job right now. I think he's trying to get the media and fans off his back by blaming everyone else for the problems because, in his head (I'm guessing), he doesn't think anyone would ever fire him so he doesn't have to worry about it. I'm not saying it's a smart strategy. It's a horrible one. But he's never been in a situation like this before and clearly doesn't know how to handle it.
Detroit had a season where their stadium was juiced for a game because they saw what they assumed was PROGRESS. Aaron Rodgers then got a bogus facemask and then uncorked one of the most unfathomable hail Mary’s ever. No team knows misery like Lions fans. It’s not even close tbh.
deonte Thompson Thompson, addressing the difference between new quarterback John Brantley and former QB Tim Tebow, was quoted as saying Brantley was "a real quarterback” "You never know with Tim. You can bolt, you think he's running, but he'll come up and pass it to you. You just have to be ready at all times. With Brantley, everything's with rhythm, time. You know what I mean, a real quarterback." While Fowler was not the only reporter to use the quote, he became a target for Meyer, who approached him after practice, pointed a finger at him and, in front of 15-20 reporters, threatened to ban Fowler and the Sentinel from football practices. Players and coaches are off-limits to the media until further notice.
I'm old but still breathing, Beeds07 . Feel free to use me as a measuring stick for Lions' suckitude. I watched most of it.
Constant ‘s first job as an elementary school boy was sewing the numbers onto these shirts in a downtown Detroit factory.
This was the original post that started it all. The mention of the Texans, WFT, and Colts made me assume we were talking about now/recent, not over the last 100 years. Over the last decade, the Lions have 50% more wins than the Jags and 3x the playoff appearances. That's how bad the Jags have been. Only the Browns are close to the Jags over that stretch and they are good now.
My favorite thing about the Detroit Lions is that 1957 championship team and how it was one of the Madden all time moments that you got to replay in one of the Madden games
Urban cayman Nebraska every year from 2012-2018 and I'm truly sorry if someone already made that joke
It’s not possible to look less prepared as a team than the jags did today, and that’s after a bye week.
