You can only review catch or not if it’s in the outfield for a reason that no one can really explain.
Cannot overstate how cool that moment is for Freddie. He had done it all for this franchise, and was only lacking a moment like that in the playoffs. He was already a Braves legend, but now he has a moment that is etched in history for us
Steve has already hired the creepiest GM in sports and a drunk. What do we think he will hire this time?
Hate? We were showing the respect as the rightful NL East winners and NLCS participant* *if they hadn’t gotten so many booboos
People take it very personal when folks simply state facts and present information, just the world we live in these days
Think of it this way; if Ron isn’t playing MVP caliber baseball to start the year and carry the carcass of the Braves into July around .500, there’s no way we win the division.
Thought Snit was really good this whole series but especially yesterday. PHing Rosario against the rightie after burning Arcia didn't seem like something he would normally do. Also I like how he left Matzek in to strike out Yelich to bring in Luke against the rightie after. Just seemed like he made all the right decisions and typically there are 1-2 controversial decisions in these playoff series and he avoided them. Obviously it helps when we pitch as well as we did. AA deserves all the credit for holding on when I thought the season was lost and making so many great moves to strengthen the lineup in the second half. And he was able to do it by trading them a bunch of trash. Go look at what the White Sox gave up for Kimbrel. It could have been so much worse.
Imagine watching this on instagram from home with COVID because you're an idiot Looking at you Jorge Soler
Absolutely unreal if you told me after the start of this season and Acuna out we would make the NLCS I'd have thought you insane. Sports are so strange and it is why I love them.
his management for the first 3-4 innings was horrific. the mishandling of chuck was particularly inexcusable. credit for going rosario for sure but the team bailed him out yet again
Nope. Seeing that Soler was there yesterday, unmasked and popping positive, I immediately thought “here’s the Atlanta curse.”
we were at like 85% in june so we're pretty far above the threshold. i dont think theyre even testing vaccinated people so not particularly worried tbh
Snit isn’t normally as bad in a short series with his in game decisions. He still tried to push the Arcia PH the whole series, which made no sense. He saved face somewhat on the Rosario PH, but that was just common sense. Shouldn’t necessarily applaud an obvious decision. Giving Duvall such a long leash was also head scratching. Duvall has been pretty bad for awhile now. Shouldn’t haven’t taken that long to get Joc into the lineup. Outfield defense is going to be tested a lot more in the NLCS though, so you might have to stick with Duvall. His bullpen usage was pretty solid. Matzek was nails and arguably the series mvp.
not having chavez or smyly or anyone up for chuck's second trip through the order was completely inexcusable.
let that man sleep for a few days and head over to a nice spa and have his arm rubbed for the next 48 hours
Underrated sequence last night to me was Duvy down two strikes and he got HBP pretty much intentionally to load the bases. Think he knew that was his best shot there to get on down 0-2 I believe. Then Joc again did his part and cut the lead to 4-3 by putting ball in play but avoiding DP. That sequence allowed TDA to get the game tying hit to make it 4-4. We got off the mat twice last night down two runs and tied it. Incredible resolve by this team. The bullpen was incredible. SP incredible. Last night was as much of a team win as you could have. So many guys played key roles in different ways. Defensively, offensively and pitching. So satisfying.
