Quite the semantics debate the Texas gop is having When should the rape exception for abortion occur?!?
it warms my heart to know his last years were agonizing. During a violent storm on his first return voyage, Columbus, then 41, suffered an attack of what was believed at the time to be gout. In subsequent years, he was plagued with what was thought to be influenza and other fevers, bleeding from the eyes, temporary blindness and prolonged attacks of gout. The attacks increased in duration and severity, sometimes leaving Columbus bedridden for months at a time, and culminated in his death 14 years later.
Removing a symbol of freedom and replacing it with a symbol of obedience and subservience? A little too on the nose, guys. At least try and be subtle about it.
I, too, plan to run for office on a platform which emphasizes replacing that burqa wearing extremist Statue of Liberty with a new giant Our Lady of Fatima statue in honor of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, just like the Founding Fathers intended!
I’ll try, I remember it from college, but my little searching right now I’m only finding sites that are trying to shine positive light on Isabella without any primary sourcing
I’ll never understand how a man that was denounced hundreds of years ago for the monstrous shit he did managed to have a holiday present day. Fuck Christopher Columbus.
enthusiastically telling your voting base that the whole system is rigged is always a great way to get the vote out
Opportunity #85858484 for the GOP to distance itself from Trump, which they will fail to take and instead acquiesce to his demands
I don't think it matters re getting the vote out. Writing is on the wall, they're just going to cheat. They could lose by 100 million votes and Trump (or some other fash blowhard) might get installed as dictator for life
The one benefit this time around is there's a dem president and VP. Them doing another coup could certainly happen but at least the home team isn't certifying the election results.
