I should clarify , Fury imo is a top 25 HW of all time, not P4P

I think you’re underrating Fury. He does things as a HW that we haven’t really seen guys at his size do. He can box, he can move. He’s got power, and he’s got multiple ways he can win fights.

Two wins over perhaps the most fearsome puncher we’ve ever seen, a win over Wlad, two wins over Chisora and his Otto Wallin win has begun to age well.

That Otto Wallin fight was awesome. Fury was about a round away from a stoppage from the cut above his eye.

Very excited for Wallin-Whyte here at the end of the month. Feels like a defining fight for both guys.

Kind of defeats the whole purpose of having DAZN. The premise was pay a monthly fee that’s cheaper than PPV’s and get the big fights. DAZN must be hurting money wise.

Just watched the Fury Wallin fight because yall brought it up. What a hell of a fight. Pretty even through maybe the first 3-4 rounds. Wallin opens up the huge cut. Fury pounds him from about round 4-5 through round 12. In those rounds Fury is just the bigger man and is teeing off on Wallin. Wallin had nothing for Fury in those rounds. Then randomly in the last round Wallin landed a big shot and hurt Fury and then capitalized on that. I think it underscores the fact that you have to box Fury, you have to have good boxing skills, you can't just rely on big punches like Wilder. I think that was also illustrated in AJ v Usyk. A smaller guy can win. Usyk was excellent in using angle and continuing to move around AJ. Wilder typically just stood there , not using any head movement, not using the ring, not feinting , etc. Ultimately Fury was just a much better boxer. I think AJ v Fury would be an excellent fight because AJ is the only heavyweight contender with the requisite combination of size and strength + boxing skills

Yeah I don't really get it. Maybe he needs a new trainer? Could he have lost a step at 32? But that was by far the worst I've ever seen him look against Usyk. I was baffled

I think he's timid now after the first Ruiz fight. He's fighting smaller guys like a smaller guy. If he fought Fury like that, he wouldn't make it through 6.

I think it’s all encompassing. A new trainer would be a good start, he’s been a mess tactically the last few times out. Credit to Deontay, he changed trainers and fought a better fight Saturday because of it, even in a loss. AJ could take some notes.

But he also isn’t the same physically which probably limits some of what he can do. Early on he was this combination of a Greek God build wise with tons of athleticism. Now? He’s become the same flat-footed, lumbering big man heavyweight that he was supposed to make extinct. Can that be reversed? I really don’t know.

Depends on if you consider Lennox Lewis early in his career when he got ko'ed by Oliver Mccall. Tua's ko of Ruiz was absolutely nuts.

How would Ali or George Foreman in his prime compare to Fury if they hypothetically fought? Neither Ali or Foreman fought anyone close to 6'9 or anyone with the combination of size, power, and athleticism as Fury. You could make a case that Fury is way up the list of all time Heavyweights. Problem is he just hasn't fought enough quality opponents compared to the guys in the 60s and 70s . I wonder what a Lennox Lewis v Fury fight would have looked like

I think Ali and Foreman would be too small Ali would give up 70 pounds and 6 inches Foreman probably 40-50 and 5 inches. They are both better boxers than Fury and Wilder but the size difference would be too much to overcome imo. I think Lewis beats him shit I the klitschko brothers beat him in their primes.
