I got mine Tuesday. In the realm of anecdotal bullshit, I have gotten the flu one time and it was the only year I didn’t get a shot. It was my last year of grad school, and I was so busy writing my thesis I didn’t realize I’d missed it. Until I had a 104.5 °F temperature in the ER. It made a believer out of me.
Took my daughter to her checkup with pediatrician last week. We both got ours. Hopefully can follow up with a J&J booster soon.
Got flu shot yesterday. Only negative is a bit of tenderness at the injection site. Just built different.
I keep on intending to get flu shot but also keep on cracking open a beer when and if I have some down time. Supposed to be a rainy week here, will do it on a day we get washed out.
I got mine at the grocery store after work. Made an appointment and was done in less than 3 minutes and did my normal grocery run right after.
Got my flu shot and covid booster last week. Local pharmacy taking the position that everyone is "at risk" and can get the booster, no questions asked. Probably wise considering how low the vax rate is here.
this is what I thought too. However my friend who is a pharmacist says they think the flu season is hitting early and will be severe this year so get it ASAP.
Just got one at Publix, made an appointment online yesterday but for whatever reason had to fill out the same paperwork at the store.
Got my Pfizer booster and my flu shot yesterday at the hospital I work at. Absolutely drained me today, but would do it all over again.
Me and both my boys got our flu shot today. Need to get my pfizer booster. Are boosters just for adults or do 12-18 need them too?
Fortunately, it wasn’t a long night for me, but the expected body aches I woke up with turned to brief mild chills and total exhaustion. Took 1000mg acetaminophen, a short nap, and feel much better 24 hours post injections.
back in the day it was my childhood jam as well, when they used to have actual Thrifty convenience stores it used to be 50 cents a scoop.
Got my flu shot over lunch today, got me 20 cents off a gallon of gas too. Will go use my BMI/asthma status at the end of the month for Pfizer part 3.
Whole family got it this morning with no wait at Publix. Disappointed we missed out on the booze and ice cream gift cards, but glad we could finally get it. My wife and daughter have been off and on sick since early august so we were waiting until they were over everything.
