The best thing about this is how good he is with both feet so there’s no practical reason to do it, just for the sauce
And, correct me if I’m wrong, is he not doing it on his “weak” foot? Doesn’t he actually hit the ball with his left?
Wes had a mediocre game last night, but I still like him in the middle, especially against Mexico. He’s an enforcer and is a good complement to some of the finesse guys we have on the wings and up top.
Agree, though unless something drastically changes over the next 4 weeks you can’t start Gio just coming off a month+ away so it’s sort of moot
Wes has been very up and down lately. I like his attitude and toughness, but he’s been really inconsistent as of late. Gio needs to play full time, so just experiment with him in the middle. If Wes gets hot, put Gio outside and let Aaronson come on as a super sub.
It’s not just this team. I heard someone talk about how we know we’ve made it as a soccer nation is that people literally react so overly positive or so incredibly negative after each match and that fans think the coaches job is on the line after every game. I hate that kind of thinking but I agree that’s where a lot of fans are these days and for me it makes it less fun. It’s never as good as it seems or as bad as it seems is usually the case and I prefer to keep that perspective while enjoying things when they appear good.
just my Spoiler i would totally replace gregg tomorrow if i wasn’t so sure ussf would end up replacing him with someone like dave sarachan or that ilk even putting aside how he got the job, he just doesn’t seem like he has a great idea of how we should play in possession and going forward, not to mention the roster selection and some of his faves he likes to rely on i’ve felt this way before the nations league and gold cup. props to him for winning those, but i feel like if we’re relying on gregg’s play style and roster decisions come the wc, we’ll be lucky to make it out of the group stage imo i try not to harp on “gregg out” too much (though i’ve failed a few times since qualifiers) because i feel like we’re stuck with him this cycle totally rooting for him to pull off miracles come next year in qatar, though
Damn So US Soccer site doesn’t do printing on mens kits. Soccer.Com and WSS both show back order for both kits. January for home and February for away
Columbus cheering the loudest for Zardes is so small time. Reeks of a city with no true professional teams. That will never happen in Cincy. (because we’ll never have a national team caliber player)
*Mens national team caliber player **Cincy doesn’t have a professional women’s team yet. But if/when they do, they need to give up and pay whatever it takes to bring Rose home. ***This currently fictional women’s professional team will probably make the playoffs before FCC
this is a pretty cool breakdown of what exactly he does so well from a technical standpoint using the CR match, so damn smooth
Warning, remove any and all grandkids from laps before clicking play. That 1:13 clip had me so damn hyped. My girl Susannah knows:
I realize this is primarily an offensive highlight by design but he’s clearly a starting MF for us. Size and athleticism are top notch and he’s just so intentional with every touch. Passes have purpose, he’s aggressive and assertive on the dribble, and he knows where the ball needs to be. Hopefully he can start getting consistent minutes with Valencia moving forward.
fake price tag imo gotta think it’s newcastle since nobody else in the world will be able to afford him
Zack has looked really good. Ederson not back from international duty and he’s come out a couple times to sweep and just stopped a 1 on 1
