What we really want is validation from a random cunty guy from the internet (that's you fyi). Failing that, any tips about the best ways to convert from woodburning to gas wouldn't go amiss.
Living rooms are generally the worst tv rooms in the house anyways, so the angle/placement for optimal performance should really be happening somewhere else in the house. I would have thought someone with an A/V cabinet would know that
Of course it's a preference, just a bad one. But please engage in more ad hominems because you don't agree with my opinion
See you're half way there. Now step away from your cunty persona and share your experience with the insert.
Go on I say it's a shit setup and you call me cunty and tramp calls me a bozo. See any difference? All you have to do is tell me why it's a good setup and keep the personal shit out. Bad viewing level for seated viewing, distracting fire below, potential heat issues, hard to do surround properly. Do you have a substantive rebuttal?
You basically implied that people are poor and/or have bad taste with your comments. I am sure you will try to walk that back though. Hence the use of the word bozo, a rude person. Maybe next time you don’t comment at all instead of playing your cute little Frazier routine.
That question was about posters in Alabama bitching about laws in California, that I happen to agree with, but don’t need to worry about as it’s entirely irrelevant to me. Why are you being such a royal douche right now?
I mean you are cunty. I didn't make you that way. But if you could elaborate a bit on your experience converting that would be cool. I'll tell you though that I've never had any heat issues though the mantle mount has a temp gauge thing on the bottom. Viewing angle is fine though I usually chillax on the sofa. I find the fire under the tv to add to the viewing experience but that's just my preference. Surround is easy enough as it's wireless. I'm sure it's not as good as a wired AV but plenty good enough for me.
Post a pic of your setup. I’m not trying to mock or make fun. There is no need to be a jerk towards me.
Anyone who knows me on this board knows I am far from poor. Maybe I have bad taste though, fair shot.
I've probably been giving people shit about putting tvs over their fireplaces for longer than you've been on the internets, I'm not about to stop now Paging lefthook
I know you've explained that being cunty about other people's fireplaces is kinda your kink but I'm guessing you've observed by now but it's not a personality trait that is typically well received?
Not everyone is always trying to be a jerk. I’m legitimately not. But I’ll remember you this way now and react accordingly. It’s a shame. I thought better if you before.
I was completely overlooking you being pretty rude to try and engage with you on in a real way and talk about your setup given you seem passionate about it, but you are afraid I’m trying to get you or something? Why? Like, is that my rep I’m unaware of?
I responded to help a guy out. I spend hours helping guys in the Covid thread. Same in the bourbon thread sending people bottles, sometimes for free when they are having a bad time. I’m not trying to fool you. I’ll let it go. This is your loss bud, not mine.
I agree that a over a fireplace isn’t an ideal spot for a TV and that’s why I’m setting up the basement to do the tv watching. Wife can watch the main floor tv that’s over the fireplace. Just bought a couch for the basement
