As far as I know, critical race theory is just a law school born historical theory where laws and outcomes are historically analyzed based on factoring in the racial dynamics at play. Historians use different theories when analyzing history such as the Great Man theory, economic forces, military, and such. They aren't meant to be definitive, but teach college students how to write papers with a tighter focus.

I don’t think “cancel culture” is a thing because that implies someone got something they didn’t deserve. I do think people face consequences of their actions and usually they find different way to get their messages out.
