Cocomelon works a bit...need to push it more. All I get now is "Coco" or "Maui"....she also has almost zero interest in Coco until they get to the Land of the Dead....not sure if it's the colors in that land or what....but the first half is worthless to her. Bizarre.
I have a 17 month old. For a long ass time she only would watch cocomelon. Called it "baba sheep sheep." Then my sister showed her the live action cat in the hat which is a terrible fucking movie. We pushed elf pretty hard recently and that's her favorite at the moment. Guess we are just going to keep watching elf for a while. What about frozen? Feel like that is similar to Moana.
Is... is this the first Pixar movie ever where the plot doesn't revolve around the main character traveling to/from somewhere?
Right, but based on the trailer the whole story takes place around the town or island or whatever it is.
I feel like Onward is super underrated because it came out at the beginning of the pandemic. Don't know if it's common knowledge but Onward is based on director Dan Scanlon's childhood. I remember watching it and thinking this is far too specific to be made up and yeah he just wrote a fictionalized version of he and his brother's youth. vanityfair.com/hollywood/2020/03/true-story-pixar-onward-father
I really enjoyed it, but yeah the timing could not have been worse. It was fun watching a new release at home, especially at that time
Just saw Soul with the fam the other night. Outfuckingstanding. Beautiful movie all the way around, music, visuals, story... so good.
I watched Soul last night. Seemed like a retread of Inside Out but with a lesson on nihilistic existentialism. Not great
Cool. “I like that one animated movie where a part of life is explained as being actually controlled by a people in a secret workplace. No, not Monster’s Inc, not Inside Out, not Storks, not Boss Baby...I think it’s called Soul.”
Watched it last night with the family. I thought it was damn good. I’m a sucker for most things Italian so a lot of things in the movie plucked my heartstrings
Hell yeah. Looks like it's targeted for a little bit older kid than say Toy Story. Proud of my oldest wanting to be Buzz for Halloween and not that soy boy Woody Spoiler my youngest is Woody
Love Toy Story stuff so much. Such great memories with my kids (mostly my 10 year old son). His buzz and woody toys still stand on his dresser because I won’t let him get rid of them.
