Was a great game with very good pace, very little drag and both teams looking to win. Refreshing to see in a major game with Italian teams because in the past you see way more sheltered play and 10 behind the ball style. The first penalty handed out was pure bullshit. It also being Hakan who drew it makes it even more infuriating. No issue with the second penalty. Thought Milan was more dangerous especially that final 25 minutes. But Inter had plenty of prime chances outside of the PKs.
Also Inter got bossed once Barella went off the pitch. They couldn't handle being pressed and basically survived the final 20. He's such a fantastic midfielder.
What a massive blow for the league leaders. I can’t see them keeping up with others without him for that long.
He’s a really strong talent. You could see the noticeable difference without him last year. This injury probably turns the league into a two team battle with Milan and Inter.
that’s where I see it right now. Maybe Napoli or Atalanta hang on if the Milan clubs both struggle some but it looks like the 2 Milan teams will battle it out. Inter/AC winning back to back titles is the best thing that could happen for serie A. Bring the big clubs back to winning and show that you’re competitive as a league after the run juve went on.
The league is definitely improving and the depth at the top is stronger than ever. Napoli won't fall off the cliff but I would imagine hanging on for a top 6 spot is going to be the new goal.
Napoli’s greatest strength is with the defense, they’ll be fine for top 4 finish. Lazio, Roma, and Juve still find ways to piss on themselves to make any serious run at a top 4
January window will be interesting. You have to think that juve will at least make a run for top 4 at some point. They’re far from the title teams but they’re much better than they’ve shown so far
Maybe, but without Osi to be the stallion leading the counter attack with his pace, Napoli are going to need to win a ton of 1-0 games against the lesser squads and draw the better ones.
As much as Mourinho is bitching about squad depth you would think Roma will be adding talent. Seems like Kessie is going to part way with Milan in the January window leading to Sanchez possibly coming. I'm still in shock that Maldini hasn't added a RW. Salamimaker isn't the answer, he's squad depth at best. Adding a legit RW would help this team immensely.
It's maddening especially reading the CF rumors, while we extend Salemaekers and hes just not a RW. His finishing ability is horrifyingly comical
He's an engine, a defensive RW but he has no attacking skill, his crosses are largely poor. I do agree a long term solution at CF is needed. Vlahovic makes all the sense in the world, but no chance Fiorentina is selling him in the January window. I believe they have a legit shot a Euro League spot. That's an enormous boost for Rocco
Juve will have to get creative in selling/offloading players in order to buy anyone good enough to make them a threat. Ronaldo and Covid hurt them financially and puts them in a difficult spot in the near term. They should start with Morata.
I think Insigne, Chucky, and Mertens are good enough to keep them safe for UCL spot. Osi definitely takes things to the next level but those 3 are sufficient
Oh so getting paid 30m for a youth prospect that's never been above the primavera finally caught up to them? Hopefully they get demoted to Serie D
I don’t know if it was the mid week clash but this Milan team looks a step slow in the midfield and terrible everywhere else. I know he’s the captain but Roma needs to go. He’s played way to much football to have these mistakes over and over. Fucking falling on his face. Gabbia can do that and he gives you upside.
If Kajer is out for the season that’s crippling. I rather play Kalulu or Gabbia with Tamori. Roma can kindly fuck off
