nice looking a little rough again. OL working them so far. also, PSG OM today at the velodrome. buckle up.
and just like that, the classic goheels jinx arrives. Goal for Atal to make it 1-2 and then Red for OL
I think it used to be OM OL but now you get the Provence vs the Capital, old French football vs Qatar, etc.
Messi taken off at the half so for those scoring his season stats it home, it's halftime substitutions (1) goals & assists (0)
payet just got hit by another water bottle thrown from the stands and now the teams are back in the locker rooms ligue 1 needs to legit do something already about this because what they’re doing now isn’t working
It’s almost like letting these teams/fans off with a slap on the wrist has done absolutely nothing to stop it from happening going forward. So unless they have the balls to deduct points from the home team it will continue to happen. It’s embarrassing.
It’s embarrassing that 3 of the best players in the world (Mbappe, Neymar, Di Maria) are stuck in this joke or a league. Shameful really.
Went to Lens and Lille this weekend. I wanted to see Jonathan David play while he is still at Lille and then got lucky that Lens had the Friday night match and is only 35 minutes away on the train. Lens was definitely the better atmosphere. It’s a small working class area and the club and city has quite an English feel both in how much the people love the club and also the city architecture. The stadium is the biggest part of the city (outside of the Louvre satellite museum) and has the classic walk up from the city streets. They also shattered the stereotype of the French being rude, as every worker I dealt with talked my ear off about why I was there. Lille’s stadium is beautiful but it’s almost a bit too big for the club and has a more commercial feel to it. The city itself is really nice but the stadium is a bit in the outskirts beside a shopping mall and a bunch of strip malls. And David missed a penalty Some photos. I also have some videos but can’t figure out to how upload with sound to Imgur. A battle for another day. Lens RIP to Mark-Vivien Foe. Sad that he’d probably be alive had his on-pitch heart attack happened in 2021 rather than 2003 given some of the advancements since then. Lille Visiting Nantes supporters bringing the heat.
Also this trip turned out quite well given the original plan was to go to Lyon Marseille last weekend. Thankfully I aborted that plan due to my work Christmas party being the same weekend.
