I have it on good authority that a.tramp will put himself in the oven on a cutting board to hide from his wife
Got a mid-April date for production start on my Workhorse 1975. They said it takes 10-15 business days for completion. Gonna be a long 6 months.
That's gotta be a bad ass place to be in life where you tell your customers "hey you know that thing you want me to build for you? Yea that thing you can get comparable, but not as bad ass the one I build. I can't build yours for 6 months. So give me $3000 and we are good"
I fully admit this is a ridiculous purchase, but it’s a ‘bargain’ in comparison to other similar manufacturers (like Mill Scale, Moberg, Fat Stack, etc). I get what you are saying though. Regardless…I’m hyped.
I wasn't saying anything about the price, sorry didn't mean to sound that way I just ment it to be how bad ass would it be to be that guy that people know your shit is good and are willing to fork over good money for as well as wait for it to be done. I'm in a industry where people pay $100 million dollars for a building and want to cut construction times to record levels because of their own problems making decisions about spending money (many times money that they didn't earn)
The research I’ve done over the months doesn’t really explain it. The guy who makes Workhorse also makes Primitive pits which have been around for a while at the commercial level. They charge much less for a “better” product: thicker metal, more options, etc. I’ve read that Workhorse sourced a shit ton of material pre-pandemic in response to business acceleration and that has played well over the last 18 months. They are charging the same prices now that they did in 2019. Mill Scale, on the other hand, is the exact opposite. It’s like $6000 total for thinner metal, no options, and minimal customer service (apparently). I can swing $3k to try to burn my house down. I can’t do $6k.
People keep asking for me gift ideas. Any nice to haves for BGE above the common stuff? I remember someone talking about a temp controlled blower fan at some point…
I really like the rotisserie and basket for fries and wings. for me there is no use for the blower or the ash basket.
I basically have the BGE with Conveggtor and then some different grilling accessories like rib racks and some for chickens. Plus wireless thermometer and a thermapen

I replaced my original guru blower with this and love it also that kickash basket dbl mentioned a couple months ago is definitely a winner. I’ve only had it for a few cooks and already notice the difference in both the cook and the clean up
I also love my rotisserie and basket. Big fan of the stuff at the CGS. I have this with the extender https://ceramicgrillstore.com/colle...oducts/large-adjustable-rig-r-and-b-combo-bge Smokeware cap Looflighter/Weed burner/Wagner Heat Gun
Woke up. Smoked a bowl and threw a pork shoulder on the PK early this morning. Finally figured out how to keep a good steady temp in this thing and looking forward to some pulled pork sammies this evening!
