there have been so many times this year (and in the Orange Bowl) where I've seen runs set up that would've been substantial gains last year but don't go anywhere this season, the 2nd down run from DJ there was a nice example of that
feels a lot like last year's meeting so far, this is the part where we stall out for a few drives and let Wake build up a lead infuriating how many times this season the defense has looked unprepared at the snap
it'll be interesting, we've recruited well enough behind him to be optimistic about his replacement, but absolutely need an upgrade at OL coach and to hit the portal for some skill talent, then defensively we just need to hope the talented youth taking their lumps this year matures
don't think we'll be able to keep up this year, per usual our defensive stops only seem to come from offensive mistakes on the other side, and it doesn't look like they'll be making enough
Chandler's been a really nice stopgap at rb this year, it's a shame Hood's missed so much time to develop
so now we just have to beat up on Wofford to avoid the embarrassment of not making a bowl new standard for the season is to just beat state, which will probably be Sam's last game, then give the young'ns playing time galore in whatever bowl we go to
btw Bateman moving to the press box reeks of desperation on his part, that or he was forced, good sign imo either way
feel like he's flown under the radar a bit because he's not Javonte or Michael, plus the disappointing season, but Ty's been probably even more impactful than I was hoping for since I figured it'd be rb by committee this year
Wonder if there's any shot he comes back as a SSr next year? Freshmen might be ready, but they might not.
