Had some RR13 tonight and wasn’t overly blown away, but JD Coy Hill is delicious, doesn’t drink like a high proof.
Picked up an Old Kirk yesterday. Pretty excited to try some Willett purple top juice for the first time.
Looking more likely I’ll be a PA resident within the next 12mo. I expect a full tutorial on how to win at state lottery.
“Touch of mashing cereal, and then, in a positive way, enamel paint.” -pperc “The predominant aroma of corn husks is mixed with a sentimental schoolroom whiff of white glue peeled from the fingertips.” -NYGator Me:
I have a history of consuming white glue that goes back to first grade. Actually got kicked out of class for it. (insert obligatory comments: explains a lot)
Just a little bit .. Managed to check my email in time to grab a Seagrass bottle .. seems like most of the desirable stuff sold out fast.
These seem to be dropping this week in Nashville. No promises, as they are going quickly, but if anyone wants one, I can try to grab them one. 6 yr, 9 mo willet bourbon that is bottled by someone else. Typically $100-$120.
Not sure what that is, but Jason (the founder of NBSC) has said it isn’t OK. I’m thinking they have have gotten a couple ECBP barrels based on his hints, but no idea. Edit: If anyone wants to help us guess here are the hints: - Two barrels of same distillate - distilled in bardstown - 135.7 and 128.4 proof barrels - 7yr 7mo and 7yr 9mo,not sure which is which proof - the number 72 is a clue. Some people think this is the % corn, but who knows.
yeah, I would definitely get in mine for those. But, I realized I think I’m dumb and EC is distilled in Louisville. Could be Hirsch
Boy, I am really disappointed in this Woodinville store pick. I've never had anything from them before, but this local store is the jam for their picks so I gave it a shot. Sweet sticker though.
Mashbill matches up with Hirsch, as well as the original Willett bourbon recipe. There’s probably less than a 0% chance they got two willett barrels, though
Kroger (grocery store) is running a bourbon raffle for their charity https://one.bidpal.net/bourbonauction/browse/all you have to pick up in Louisville
Scored one of those high west single barrel finished in port barrel bottles. Have read good things ITT
Anyone had Old Pepper Rye store picks? KC has gotten a ton of them lately and I picked one up today and am really liking it so far. Sweeter than a typical rye profile and 110 proof for $40. Can’t beat it
