People that say New Day aren't re-signing make me groan. Yeah I can understand people like Gargano, and Keith Lee.

But like the New Day? they've been featured for years whether Vince likes or not. They'll get theirs cause they're over. Xavier not dropping SD/RAW for G4 and maybe some Dark matches.

 

Speaking of Gargano, I'm amazed Vince doesn't insert him into the Daniel Bryan role. To me he's a clone of that type of wrestler and character. He's probably the one guy left in NXT I hope goes to AEW. To me he's in that conversation as best talent in the world.

They'd be over, sure. But I don't think they're some homerun talent, that'd just be the WWE push from the smarks that pretend to not watch WWE.

 

They are the greatest tag team of all time. 2 of the 3 members have been IC and WWE champion. This is a galaxy brain take that 3 of the most popular wrestlers in WWE would be downgraded in AEW

absolutely. You can look at it by tag team accomplishments, skill set, memorable matches, individual accomplishments, success outside of the ring

 

You don't think Vince put him in spots to be successful prior to the WM30 build? I think its fair game to say Vince didn't really want to make Daniel his #1 going into WM30 but was forced into it

It's weird because as a "tag team" you could say they are the greatest of all time. But as a "trio" they aren't. That would be The Shield.

 

the shield weren’t around long enough for me. Obviously as a singles wrestlers they all went on to be wildly successful. Does the NWO (hall, Nash, hogan) count as a trio?

 

I think they're in the HoF as a trio. Can't remember if Syxx was part of the speech/induction or not.

 

I’d heard everyone makes over their guarantee if they are working and not hurt. Maybe the pandemic changed that worth no houses. New Day was probably doing 7 figures each in merch alone.

My buddy does some work for a few WWE guys in Tampa and they aren’t starving at all.

Not to say the independent contractor deal is right, just that these guys do make real money.

You do have a point about longevity. I think the Shield were only around for 19 months before they broke up and they did have a short reunion but they don't compare to New Day.

Still I think its long enough to be consider a trio given the impact they had and the fact it always stayed the three of them

 

They went in as Hogan/Nash/Hall and Syxx. No Bischoff, he went in a year later alone.

 

The Young Bucks said this with FTR and it came true. I don't doubt them that they have a plan to make this happen one day.

 

Hello I like MJF as is right now. I don't expect a Bryan Danielson wrestling clinic and am fine with not every wrestler doing flippity flop shit allover.

I really hope this Punk and MJF isn't a one off. I want them to have an extended run against each other. Also, I think they will gel really well in the ring together.

I don't see it as a one off like Punks other feuds so far. Big chance to really boost MJF here long term.

 

I don’t know if anyone is on Tik Tok but there’s a kid on there who is a huge wrestling fan with Downs who has a channel called Baker Banter and Cabana hooked him and his family up with tickets in St Louis and toured him backstage and had him meet all the wrestlers, including a meet and greet with Punk where Colt was also there…I think they may be at least cordial now.

Which makes me think the chance of a storyline is more possible than if they still had major heat.

 

Also while we are airing grievances with wrestlers who don’t do it for us I’d like to say that Mox is mid and I won’t be taking questions

 

Mox is boosted by persona and mic skills, and only slightly upgraded from his WWE days ring work wise. I've expected more from him in some matches that he didn't meet, but he also exceeded my expectations a few times. He's definitely solid and a top tier character in wrestling.

I was wild in my New Day comments yesterday, apologies, I was off work and drinking and yeah.... No way is New Day a YT level talent, they'd be huge in AEW. I also don't ever see them leaving the machine cause they're one of WWE's cash cows and will always be treated right. I don't think they're the greatest of all time like someone said, but they're up there. Anything with New Day and Kenny/The Bucks is money. But I don't see it happening any time soon.

Mox tournament stuff was great, the random out of no where alcohol stuff dampened it for sure. But BD gets to thrive cause it.

Been calling for it for a while, I really thought they would have gotten the Grand Slam rub and knocked off the Bucks.

It's kinda weird how they book PnP, yeah they get a lot of big high profile IC matches constsantly. But they never get the love I feel they deserve.

Lucha Bros vs. PnP is a money feud, they have tremendous chemistry and work well together. If we don't get that feud I'm going to be sad.

 

I'm honestly just amazed they can lose Mox and Kenny and not miss a beat. TK done built a crazy roster recently. It's loaded. Guys they don't feature enough could be boosted up.
