Someone explain to me how that's a dirty play? Violent? Absolutely. Burks is in bounds running for an onside kick. Did he expect to go untouched? That's more on him for not protecting himself. What am I missing here
Slaw fans were furiously crying because we didn’t give the man the onside kick was designed for free run to high point the ball. I get that it hurts seeing your pride and joy (and he’s a legit beast) get rag dolled like that, but it’s football and shit happens.
Hoss Bonaventure is a seemingly great dude, but he had an all time melty after the game. It happens to the best of us.

To be fair, the first camera shot they showed of it… it looked like a dirty play. The one that looked down the sideline showing him still in bounds it wasn’t as bad. He’s also the best Hog since McFadden and among our best players ever and we are absolutely terrible without him so we are sensitive about big hits he takes. And it was scary that he left the game on a cart earlier.
