Is it just a straight pause? Or is it only for like one minute? Does it take you off the leaderboard if you do it?
Right. Just thought maybe they would put an asterisk by your final leaderboard position if you took a pause during an on demand class. Glad they added it, although I hope to not have to utilize it a ton
I think I’ve only wanted one a few times and it was to go open the door for my daughters when they got home from school or when I dropped my towel. I can’t imagine needing it too much. I’m glad they got it though
It also kills the ability to PR, right? I would hope. I will sadly need to use this being someone who is on-call 24/7/365 (except for PTO).
Anyone have an issue of HR not displaying. My HRM connects just fine but won’t display anything. Tried disconnecting and unpairing multiple times The HRM connects to other things just fine. Next guess is a factory reset but don’t want to lose my Outputs.
I had the same conversation. "Looks like Peloton just wants us to buy more gear to keep their stock price up." "No it looks really useful!"
IDK what or why you don’t get it. I personally don’t understand it because it doesn’t seem do anything that using the app does. I don’t think the camera checking your form is that big a deal. For 500 you’d hope it came with some weights.
Ehh I could see that being a big appeal. I have injured myself doing strength (don’t think it was just bad form on planks and compounded by a lot). But form correction would be huge. However this seems like a quick fix to try and compete with Tonal and does a horrendous job at that given the weights.
I was wrong about the swivel screen so maybe I’ll be wrong about this. The form correction isn’t that big a deal to me. Everything else seems like I can do from the bike or with the app. Dumbbells aren’t that difficult to get now so you’d hope they’d include them or some bands.
It probably isn’t as big on Peloton given the weight being lifted, but take Tonal and you are lifting pretty significant weights it is a huge deal. However Tonal is focused on true weights/traditional weightlifting where as Peloton is lightning cardio and instead quicker reps.
If is virtual which goes up to like 200 pounds. We looked into it and still contemplating but held off.
Is this new gimmicky thing a rowing machine? If not, I don't care. Where is my goddamn overpriced Peloton rowing machine that I will throw thousands at without 2nd thought?
So much of peloton is seamless. But not being able to access programs on the TV App is dumb. And not having the ability to set up sessions on the bike is dumb. My friend always has trouble joining my session when I invite him via the app / text
I think I’m in excellent shape. I do everything I am supposed to help with recovery. All of a sudden a couple days ago my fucking knee started hurting. It wasn’t bad and it kinda went away. It just reminded me no matter what I do my body will eventually break down. Fuck Father Time.
Might be the device you’re using because I can see the programs on the Apple TV app. What’s sessions?
I’m on roku. sessions, like scheduling a ride with your friend to start at the right time. Google tells me you still have to do it through the app.
Took Emma's new 20 minute 2000s rock ride that was posted today (Veterans' Day) The ride included a back-to-back of System of a Down's BYOB ("Why don't president's fight the war / Why do they always send the poor") and Radiohead's 2 + 2 =5 ("All Hail to the Thief / All Hail to the Thief"), both very strong anti-Bush, anti-war anthems It was either very subversive, or pretty hysterical she didn't realize that
Someone posted this in the random thoughts thread; took me a minute to figure out who that girl was but I knew I recognized her. Finally figured it out and am blown away. Also enjoyed this post
