So good. Anyone have the video handy where it’s a sped up version of one his range sessions going through every club in the bag? I can’t seem to find it
That one is solid as well. The one I’m talking about is rapid fire DTL. Like 2-3 minutes of perfectly pure shots
I for one can't imagine someone winning a major while on staff with Srixon, just absolutely no precedent.
Hideki won the Masters like 7 months ago. It was tongue in cheek to the "and he was never heard from again" post.
some bigger money getting thrown around https://twitter.com/nolayingup/status/1462904702144819200?s=21
And no fan gives a shit. Team NLU on make a better product to watch. -team events -less major events where all the big guys will play in the same events -fall league shootout for something -better tv coverage ANYTHING
They’re just going to pay the players more, and fund that with more advertising. The opposite of making it more enjoyable for fans.
That Belvedere course on yesterday's Tourist Sauce looks like a super enjoyable public course to play.
The tour has clearly decided that their way of fighting off newcomers is keeping the players. They are not the least bit interested in changing their product.
but isn’t that right? It’s not like players are considering the “super leagues” because of the different formats and that they might appeal to fans. Yes those formats could be more fun for the viewer but this fight is a money fight. And the reverse, the PGA changing their product isn’t going to ward off the saudis if they’re just throwing stupid money at it
So the PGA tour is stuck with only appealing to the hard core golf fan. The broader audience will tune in to the majors, but that isn't the PGA Tour. They need to get more creative and branch away from 72 hole stroke play events if they want to attract the more casual fan.
Hi guys. Anyone have opinions on the Costco putter or wedge set? Seems reviews are pretty glowing. Only been playing for 3 months with craigslist clubs. Guessing they both would be an upgrade over what I have but was hoping someone in here had experience. TIA
Wedges are very good for the price, especially if you’re a novice. Being able to spend $150 for a set of wedges with fresh grooves is a no-brainer.
The Kirkland clubs get great reviews for the price. They are basically knock off Vokey/Cameron. I haven't played them myself tho. I will recommend the shit out of Kirkland gloves.
I’ve thought about purchasing them for funnsies. I’m probably the biggest proponent of getting fit etc, but that’s a big cost when you’ve only been playing for 3 months. It’s a good purchase, I’m sure you’ll be happy with it, for the wedges. Putter though maybe look at the second hand shops were you can actually roll them.
Waiting for them the make the wedges in lefty. Have considered the putter when I see one that’s left handed but if I saw a lefty wedge set I’d buy it on sight.
Price is definitely key. Don’t think I’m confident enough at the moment to go get fit and I wouldn’t be willing to buy a custom set this early. Guessing it will happen eventually because I’m 6’8 and I’m addicted as shit already. Saw the putter was $50 off today and am crossing my fingers that maybe the wedges go on sale tomorrow. Already have a plug in my current putter with brand new grip so going to hold off on the putter for while. Missing a lob wedge in my set so thinking the wedges are a no brainier for me. Thanks gents
Ok so, PGA Tour Live is going to ESPN+. From your first message I thought they were going to be taking over the normal coverage from either NBC or CBS.
So I’m 6’4” and need a tad bit longer clubs. At 6’8” the Kirkland wedges are great, but you are gonna have to spend 50 bucks and get all three extended and then new grips. The grips is the expensive part. But 0 chance you can play with normal clubs unless your arms drag the floor. That is still a ton cheaper than 3 wedges from somewhere else so have at it!
they said to highlight that golf doesn't have to be 18 holes, but my guess is favorable TV window, ratings drag with long matches, and the same $ grab either way.
I think they thought there might be a shelf life to the entertainment value. I'm guessing they see ratings on these things probably tapers off at the end I imagine.
Brooks yelled fore when Bryson pushed it, even though there was nobody on the course. He also told Bryson his par putt was good after making birdie.
