Guys our season has been over for some time now. What are you all so angry? Keep losing so everyone is fired.
I think the irritability comes from the notion that we might actually have a special, franchise QB that may get killed because of this coaching staff. Our owner is a 100 year old woman who shits her pants daily and is just happy to watch a football game, regardless if they win or lose. The son is a numb skull and with that combination, there is a very real chance that Nagy and Pace are back at it again, jeopardizing our future with Fields. At least that’s how I feel.
Yep Nagy called more passes downfield with Dalton today than he has with Fields all season I legitimately believe Nagy is a sadistic fuck that purposely sets Fields up for failure
I'm curious if the McCaskey's will avoid hiring an offensive minded HC because now our defense sucks so we will bring someone in to fix that unit and get us to our glory days or some shit like that. I would be pretty sad if that is the case because we have the oppurtinity to choose from some very good/great OC candidates this offseason.
We're due for them to accidentally hire someone decent But it still probably won't happen Sell the team, Ginia
So a theory with the whole Arlington thing I heard... They are going to sell the team when the old lady croaks, so having that property in their pocket makes the franchise more valuable if an owner wants to build out there and get a Super Bowl/final 4/etc
Honestly, if the ownership won’t fire Nagy now. It’s best that Fields sits the rest of the year to not endure anymore Nagy.
How are they going to justify Pace picking out another coach? Virginia wants to keep her himbo around but will fire Nagy to appease the fans. You know it’s going to happen.
Not that it makes it ok, but hopefully it was the opponent's student section rather than the adults, and the students are punished accordingly.
https://patch.com/illinois/chicago/matt-nagy-will-coach-his-last-bears-game-thanksgiving-source We'll see if this has legs.
I would say there’s no f’n way you tell him he’s getting fired then ask him to coach Thursday in the spotlight. But this is the Bears organization so that’s probably something they would do.
So they’ll change Phillips’ title, “promote” Pace to president, hire (more than likely promote someone within) to be the new GM.
The problem is ownership. From a terrible stadium setup, to horrible executives making the calls to hire the front office roles. Its one idiot hiring another idiot and those who can take advantage do. The best thing for Bears fans is they sell the franchise. Because the McCaskey family are inept at running the franchise.
Nagy is refuting this report FWIW. Not that Nagy doesn’t deserve to be fired, but it wouldn’t shock me at all if esteemed media outlet *checks notes* patch.com was just trying to get some easy press with an educated guess. If they lose on Thursday, which isn’t out of the realm of possibility, he probably will get fired, but it doesn’t mean that this report is true.
Dude that wrote it has a Pulitzer, so he's not a random blogger. Weird it came from him, but I guess he supposedly has some ties to the team. This being the Bears, I'm just going to assume it's all part of the normal shit show.
This feels like Nagy is going to be blamed for all the mistakes this franchise has made. It's his fault the McCaskey's are shit owners. It's his fault that Ryan Pace mortgaged the future and has this team filled with overpaid, underperforming vets. That he can't draft/find a TE to save his life. That he can't draft WRs, That he's allergic to trading down in the draft. If Nagy is the only one gone... it's not enough tbqh. But sure as fuck feels like that is going to be what happens.
What he did without elite speed is incredible. There will never be a better returner. Deserves the hall.
I can't remember the last time I felt worse about a win. We looked like shit, Fields didn't get any experience, record doesn't matter since Giants have the pick, any win adds to Nagy's defense... Kmet looked decent though.
