Cool story time. A month or two back I was going through CVG and carried luggage on, which I almost never do. I left the luggage up at security. I'm finishing up some breakfast and about to head to my gate to board. Marty Brennaman's voice comes over the intercom with the reminder to keep your bags close and at that exact moment is when I realized I left my suitcase. Ended up missing my flight and got put on the next one a few hours later so I went to the Delta lounge to get a drink and Marty was there. Kind of like him now

We fucked up in our own right, but it is so fucking typical of Cincinnati sports that our rival will bang out 17 wins in a row to slurp our playoff spot
Other than some mild quibbles I don’t like or dislike bell. I don’t think a manager moves a needle that much so I am indifferent generally. Bob cutting payroll like they mentioned with Iglesias and Bradley ( completes shit. Trade a prospect for 7ip then decline option) and the returns we got for Chapman, Bruce, Cueto will always be why we are here. Not David bell.
Completely agree. Yeah, I mean I'm not saying I haven't disagreed with some of Bell's lineups or playing someone in a certain position during the season. Ultimately, the front office needs to change or they need to sell. This team will be the same until they are gone in my opinion, unless we somehow magically get a huge increase in payroll.
Traded Sonny to the twins for their number one pick in last years draft Chase Petty. He is 19 very anti reds to take a high ceiling guy.
Honestly I am fine with it. So much better than trading for a 24 year old triple a 2nd baseman like normal.
They talk about Petty in this article https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/...m-reds-for-2021-first-round-pick-chase-petty/
Switching to 12 team playoffs was the worst thing for Cincinnati. “We can save money and still have a shot at the playoffs?”
