I haven't looked at the advanced stats on it but Raymond for all his offensive prowess is just terrific in the defensive end. So cool on the puck and just seems to always make the right play.
I like when Zadina scores goals and it would be really cool if he started doing that more frequently.
Currently 11th in the east. I think Philly and the Isles should catch us but it’s gonna be hard to compete for the bottom with Ottawa, Buffalo, and Montreal. Probably out of the Shane Wright sweepstakes.
It would be rather neat if Zadina could keep scoring goals. But while we're there, what does a 2018 redraft look like? After a quick look it appears to have been a pretty weak draft.
DeToxRox saw Sebrango and Cossa got called into Canada's World juniors camp, who else? I imagine Edvinsson and Wallinder will be involved for Sweden, Niederbach(?). Viro for Finland
Since there are so many comps between Raymond and Marner, I wanted to compare their respective rookie years. Both guys debuted in the NHL their D+2 season at basically the same age. Marner had 61 points in 77 games. Raymond is on pace to score in the high 70’s. You figure he will hit a wall at some point, but 60 points should be the expectation now barring injury. It’s eerie how similar these two guys are.
Someone could have probably made a lot of money betting a Hronek-Gagner-Smith parlay as our first 3 goalscorers tonight
I am still not sold on Blashill being the guy to get us over the hump, but he’s been better this season.
It's amazing this team is over .500 with zero games from Vrana and both Larkin and Bertuzzi have missed stretches
Barely. 13 wins - 12 losses. Still don’t think the first line’s production is sustainable. Berggren needs an audition next time we’re in Canada.
Don’t hate it only because he can play either spot in a pinch. Not well mind you, but it makes sense under the current circumstances. I would play him against St. Louis with how they like to run people.
NBA sending out a memo saying unvaxxed players won't be able to cross the border soon. Apologies for being too lazy to look this up but I assume Bertuzzi's issue is an NHL policy and not what the NBA is talking about? https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...yers-united-states-canada-cross-border-travel
